Ugh!! I almost quit my job today at lunch. It’s not one big thing that is getting to me, it’s all the little ones. They keep adding up. Every once in a while I see no reason to stay here, all I have to do is pack my bags, go to my new employer and say “I’m here!!” and be done with it. What keeps me from leaving them in the lurch, like I’ve been done so many times? I dunno, I just can’t do it. Even after all the mean, rude, cold, hateful things that my boss has said to and about me, I stick it out…..even after I have a new job lined up! Goodness, I feel like a fool sometimes. Well, today wasn’t bad, kinda warm, but not bad at all. I’m really glad that I’ll be leaving soon with the weather getting hotter. We have to wear long sleeve fire retardant coveralls, and I can break a sweat at like 75 degrees in them. It gets so hot out here that last summer we measured the temperature on the main deck and it was like 130 degrees F!!! Geeze! It was so hot that one guy’s feet blistered on the soles of his feet from having to be on deck all day. There is NO breeze, and no waves on the water. The fish don’t bite, and it’s just pretty miserable. I usually drink 2-3 gallons of water a day in the summertime, to stay hydrated. Did I mention that it usually isn’t very pleasant during the summer? So I have some pictures on my ‘puter from out here on the rig, if someone would be so kind as to let me know how ya’ll all can put uber amounts of pictures in your diaries and not run out of storage space, I’d be glad to share. In case no one noticed, I have put 2 entries up today, one to make up for yesterday after that one got deleted, and one for today. The one for yesterday is pretty close to what I had originally written, as close as I could get from memory anyhow. Well, my baby is about to get online, and I wanna be waiting on her when she gets there. Take care guys, and God bless!!!
