Feeling: exhausted
Well, my first float trip was a success. Lots of fun, and we didn't tip over once. Of course, that's probably because we were linked up with another canoe. =P
I met a couple I definitely want to hang out with again sometime. They were fun without being crazy or irresponsible. Of course, they're a bit older, but not too much. It seems I usully get along better with people who are a little older and more mature. I think it also helped that we had something to do rather than just sit there and talk. I don't know why, but it helps me warm up to people if we're actually doing something together.
I am very worn out, though. I feel like I could pass out standing up. It must have been the rain, because Travis and Matt did most of the rowing; I just pretended to help. It only rained a little bit most of the day, but at the very end, it poured. It was kind of fun that way; it made things more interesting and challenging. And after a while, we were so wet I really didn't mind anymore...it's not like I was going to get any wetter.
When we got back to camp, Trav built a fire (which was so nice cause there was no way I could have done it), and we roasted cheese-filled hotdogs and relaxed. It was wonderful, but Trav's probably right...it could have been fun with a few more people. I just don't like dealing with others when they've had too much to drink, so I tend to avoid that.
So I definitely wanna go on another float trip...hopefully with a bit better weather, just cause it would be even more awesome that way.
But tonight I'm going to see Brian for the first time in four years. I'm excited, but I hope it's not too weird since it's been so long. I wish I had a bit more energy...I'm having troule just finishing this entry; I don't know how well I'll be able to participate in conversation. *yawn*
