Eileen and I went to the city today... heh... We took the bus to the train station... nothing eventful happened there, then figured we could weasel our way out of paying an extra $2.30 by not buying a zone 1 ticket (where the city is) and could sneak through with a zone 2 (where we live) we usually do, so no problem there, onyl we have to change trains if inspectors come on. Anyways, no inspectors, and luckily enough we managed to catch a city loop train, so no walking from flinders street station. Anywaus, we got out at MElbourne central and bloody inspectors as far as the eye could see... so we got on the Pakenham train (avoiding a $300 fine each, $150 per offence, we had wrong zones and concession tickets when were supposed to have full fare) so we then went to Fliners Street, were usually fine there, but no, today there just happened to be Police everywhere... so, after banging our heads against brick walls we realised that the only thing we could do was to go back to bumtown civilisation where there are no inspectors and no-one generally gives a shit what card you have (a.k.a, where we live) so we figured we would have to go at least back into zone 2... which is 14 stops back (yes, we live out in the middle of nowhere) luckily, we missed the Glen Waverley train that we were supposed to get and accidentaly got the Lillydale which goes out to bummier bumtown... so three stops later we managed to get zone 1 tickets, then we went back to Melbourne Central (two city loops in one day YAY) so yeah... thats how we both escaped fines for the day.
