Listening to: System Overload - Breakdown
Feeling: saucy
Well to start off I'd like to give you a little back ground information about my living arrangement. I live on campus at The University of Texas at Dallas. Instead of dorms the college did a co-op with an apartment complex named Waterview Apartments. I do like them better than dorms but they are supposed to be ran like all other apartment complexes, ie: they have to fix crap when it breaks. Well when I moved in at the beginning of this semester there was several things wrong with my apartment. Well some of the major things was our refrigerator was broken (could only use the freezer), our dish washer made only made a buzzing noise, smelled like an electric fire and did not work, and our ceiling fan shook uncontrollably, you could see were it had hit and gouged out part of the ceiling. This is not to include the bugs and the crappy installation of my new cabinets in my bathroom. Well I told them about this the first day I moved in and they informed me that the broken refrigerator is considered an emergency and some one would be right over to fix it. Well a month and a half later no one had came to fix it. This was with me going in to the Waterview office every other day trying to get some one to come fix it. Well after the month and a half I decided to read my lease and make sure it said they were supposed to fix things in a timely manner. It said they were supposed to so I went to them and threatened that I was going to go to a lawyer if it was fixed in the next 2 days. Not only that my room mate had his dad call them and have a word or two with them. I don't know if it was me going to talk to them or if it was my room mate’s dad, but the next morning they were here fixing every thing. As you can imagine this left me with a bit of a grudge against Waterview. Well what better way to show my frustrations then in one of my videos on my website. I made a new intro video and you can see it at www.utdallas.edu/dlp033000 or just click on the monkey at the top of my diary. The building in the background is the Waterview leasing office. The rest of the video is self explanatory. Hope you like it.
Till next time
