The xenophobia this is encouraging is concerning and yes Trump for sure hurt us with his lack of response and mixed messages. I just really hope he doesn’t get re-elected... but it looks like Biden is going to be his competition and he just doesn’t inspire ppl to act... Trump sucks but he gets ppl to act. The Democrats think they’re going with a “safe” option but that’s the opposite of what we need to do- we have to meet crazy with Crazy lol.

Hahah, no worries! It’s a dramatic situation! I don’t have big concerns about people with guns pushing back against a marshal law situation. A situation that I think COULD get scary is if people can’t get the care they need for themselves or their loved one and then in their grief act out on someone they think is responsible. Or if people can’t get basic needs met.... which Trumps financial package is going to skip over some of the most vulnerable... so.... that could become a problem. For myself I’m pretty safe- I’m still able to work in a low exposure location and I’m healthy and alone.... I don’t need the government to cut me a check... so I’ll be using it to help out friends who lost their incomes all together.

...in these times, i read a lot of people being even patriotic with their cities and demand, that people from high infested areas shall stay there and not come to talk a walk on 'our' countryside. This microcosmos will surely grow up to closing borders in Europe again. Hopefully our healthcare System will widthstand, hopefully my wife and my kids won't die. Hopefully i can see my mother back in a few weeks. I never thought i would have these fears in such big waves coming to my mind.
I really hope, that the US will take care of their healtcare system, that it won't be so easy for employers to fire employees anymore. Maybe i'm paranoid, but what is going to happen in the US, with all these firearm-equipped people, if you have curfew? I love the american dream and hope it won't get cracked due to this virus.

Generally they always say that the germans are obidient to the government, that we were trained into this since the prussian Emperor Wilhem. Maybe thats true for some of us. My Family stays at home, we just stroll around in the woods and we have one friend, which we meet and thats it. A lot of younger people don't see whats happening there and simply don't understand what i would mean to have 'triage' in the hospitals. Few days ago i saw what happened to the US, better in NY and i saw pictures yesterday of homeless-'shelters' in Las Vegas (they were on a parking lot, every marked parking space is supposed to be the shelter). The world is really on fire and to be honest, i think that Trump will totally mess it up. I also think that this crisis will probably tear apart some parts of Europe and we will go back 20 years with border controls, customs, etc.
If you are german, it is an absolutely no go to be a patriot, which is very normal in the US or Great Britain...
