Friendship

Feeling: organized
Dear Friends, I have come to a certain point of understanding. That is, Ryan 'ski, Nathan and I have come to a conclusion. We discussed the topic of life in general, especially focusing on why we need faith to survive. Many points were argued, and many more thrown away, but in the end, we found ourselves in one central idea that seemed reasonable. We found along the course of the discussion that many people go through what we call "ponderous depression." Such a thing, usually mistaken for "the teenage blues," may come from the fact that as we approach this age, we begin to feel indestructible, like we're omniscient and omnipotent. It turns out that when we find we aren't, such a blow comes heavily. The answer to the pondering we have made is that, truly, life may be pointless. And as such, we've thought numerous times of death. But, the reason we live on comes not from drugs or other ways to "stay alive"; instead, knowledge helps to guide us into sanity and understanding, keeping our feet firmly on the ground and our lives firmly rooted in society. Sadly, some don't understand that suffering is a necessary evil component of one's life, and they don't make it. But, as we found out, life isn't truly pointless; life is, in fact, more or less pointed at that experience. It's like the saying: "Success is a journey, not a destination." Also in this issue of Kyle's mind: DnD party, yet again on Wednesday, but I'm not sure where. More details to surface soon... This week in the Globe: An Angel is struck by lightning! Ignoring all possible "facts" we know about the seraphim, as in their ability to instantaneously manifest on the material plane and the obvious ability to unmanifest instantaneously, we see that something once thought to be the second most divine creature in all of creation has been struck down by something that many humans can survive. Kind of a let down where tabloids go nowadays, isn't it. I loved it when they left it as "Bat Boy runs for President; Says he'll 'go after Saddam himself and leave the troops home!'" My god I'm giddy at 9 AM.
