Listening to: I Remember - Damien Rice
Feeling: eager
I'm off to convention in a little while.. this week has been really good.. even thought it hasn't been much of a vacation...
Monday night, well lets just say that that concert felt more like a religious experience.. especially after the encore when they invited Glen and the violin player from the frames to sing the last few songs... I started to cry when they played a medley of (I think) Eskimo.. then LAST GOODBYE by JEFF BUCKLEY (MY HERO).. then The Blowers Daughter... I almost fell over right there cause I was so happy :-)
At the end of the whole AMAZING concert, Caroline and I stayed and got some stuff... she got a cd (I think) and a t-shirt, and I got a bag with the picture at the top of my diary on it, a t-shirt with the "Volcano" lyrics on it, and The Frames (live) CD.. which kicks ass! woooo.. I am officially a fan!!! and whats funny is we were the last ones to get in line to get our stuff signed by Glen, and we ended up talking to him for 15-20 minutes!! :-P we talked about the music and he, in those few moments, was so insightful to everything.. just talking to him blew my mind... seriously..
What I never expected in a MILLION years to happen.. happened. Glen told me that he KNEW Jeff Buckley. He was a pretty good friend of Jeff's!!! I just about fell over again right there.. He talked to me about Jeff and how Jeff liked to write alone because he felt his stuff wasn't good enough and he couldn't write well alone.
I wish he was still alive.
I had the best time.. and im still in awe from it.. and as funny as it sounds,
it was religous.
