So, folks. I sit here, here at school a-writing. It seems anachronisitic entering typeface at 1:35 in the afternoon instead of 1:35 in the morning, as usual. Very atypical. Right now, Gray is tapping his pencil accross the table from me. He's writing a myth from the corners of his imagination. Vehreh interesting. Last night I received an unexpected call from Aike, which set me in a mood of euphoria because only last week I had subliminally reminensced on souvenirs from when he was in the States and coicidentally he calls, saying he was thinking of me too. I rewind the memories of him in my head: giggling to Amy Meldau about the resemblance of his eyes to my grandmothers, his unfettered interest and patient way of listening to me, my first reaction of his decision to come back in July. I sound syncophantic about him but I have an inkling I may have underestimated his feelings for me. Began the University of Chicago "uncommon" application today. Due January 1st, recommendations, essays, etc. I can see myself bundling into a nest of scarves, walking out the door on the way to morning class, braving the cold, waving to a friend with a fargo accent from nearby nebraska, and loving every minute. Why can't my parents visualize the same scenario? One of life's little mysteries. A generation gap? Who knows. Casey would have nodded his head to me today as I wrote out the list for the yellow journalist's "top ten sites for tongue-and-cheek". You bet! The Onion was first on the list. And, passing by Mr. Bellons room afterschool today, I saw the balloon paper from Emily's project and it made me very nostalgic. I was quoted in the newspaper but ironically my mother for the first time since subscribing to The State cancels her order because my family went out of town for the weekend. So, I am clueless as to what I said. Sometimes I laugh at the irony of situations, it baffles me. Where have all the commentators gone? I'm in SitD solitude.

I heard what you said! something about the fair policy not being fair and if they were going to do it to the kids they should do it to everyone because kids weren't the only ones involved in the shooting, etc...

awww, the balloon project. Wow, I forgot about that. Are any of our trebuchet pictures on his bulletin board? Do you know? haha...
