1972 Sexiest Man Alive

... trivia.. if you guess this i'll be impressed. Because, uh, i definitely was. Sean Connery is People Magazine's 1972 Sexiest Man Alive. This tidbit of pop culture brought to you by the inquisitive minds of Gray Robbins, Nikki Newman, Danny Ritter, and moi with the help of a gratuitous search engine and beaucoups of free time in newspaper. Valentines Day was a letdown. I convinced myself that without the commercialization of giving a dozen roses to your sweetheart and buying her that oh so special box of Whitmans chocolates, the day wouldn't be half bad. The overzealous boyfriends and girlfriends make Valentines Day a day of single awareness. No shmuckness for me. I snuggled up with a poem by Pablo Neruda and worked on English V homework, though, I admit feeling unadored and kind of ugly imagining myself this way five ten twenty years down the road. I just picked up carry out from Chen's Chinese Food, open 7 day a week, and because my bag is 50 miles north from here in the back of a VW Beetle, I bought temporary toiletries. Chinese food twice in one week. On Friday morning I woke up early and went to a Pilates class. Kimi, the Asian instructor, lights up a boring workout.. her accent stumbles over p's and h's so the powerhouse becomes the pOW-AH-owz. She's priceless. Anyway, I got a great sense of calm from working out in the mornings and I should start this habit in college next year. After the gym, I called Cameron and Nikki about going to see Hotel Rwanda and.. eating lunch at Miyo's. Szchewan cuisine... to die for. I ate light- miso soup, complimentary brown rice, and a veggie spring rolls. Talk about yum. The movie put America and the Western world to shame. I felt embarassed to be American. Nikki and I had fun. I really enjoy her company and I feel like we're bonding. She's a great listener. On Saturday, I met Marine and her entourage at the Circle K Gasmart for a three day trip to Charleston. Beforehand, Dad and I had breakfast at Atlanta Bread Company while waiting on them. I memorized the names of a 15 seater van-full of people and knew each in less than 3 hours. Marie did a great job of organizing her senior project, and I hope the judging panel grades her strictly, she would surpass the rubric, in my opinion. She kept the tour facts succint but let us know key information in a print out itinerary that was tabbed into a folder, where she also inserted brochures of the walking ghost tour, Drayton Hall, the Noisy Oyster, Hyman's, and a map of the peninsula. Next year, I shall be a resident there, absorbing the cultural life that is Charleston, and now, on an all expenses paid scholarship. Coming home is underwhelming and unsatisfying. I doubt I'll be leaving on the weekends very often.

I'm glad you feel that way. It may change though.

If I lived within driving distance I'd be home a lot. Coming home becomes more of a sanctuary than a disturbance. At least it did for me.
I just wanted to say hello! We have been out of touch lately but it seems you've been gallivanting with my best friend. Good choice! <3
