As I was walking through the village to get to the inn, all of the villagers crowded around me. They started asking me about the mage. I just walked by them I was too tired to even explain what happened. When I got back to the inn Sabrina was still sleeping. So I slowly walked over to the bed and layed down beside her. As soon as I layed down I fell asleep. In the morning I woke up. Sabrina was still sleeping. I didn’t want to wake her so I layed there until she woke up. A couple minutes later she rolled over and looked at me.
“Where did you go last night?†she asked me
“I took a walk around the village, why?†I ask
“Well I woke up and you were gone, I asked a villager and he said that you were doing the village an errand,†she explained
“I did there was a black mage walking though here every night and I went to wait for him in front of the entrance to the village†I explained
She smiled at me and got out of bed. She walked over to the window and started to look out at the streets. There was a sudden knock at the door. I quickly jumped out of bed to answer the door. It was a messenger boy. He handed me a letter and ran off. I started to read the letter, it was from Jericho. There was only one sentence written on it.
“An undead body has been captured,†it said
I crumpled the paper and tossed it into the fire. Sabrina turned around and looked at me.
“What’s wrong?†she asked
“I need to find Nightmare and destroy him,†I said
“Well, I’m coming with you,†she said
“No, it’s to dangerous for you to came, I’ll be back in a week†I said
“Your right, I’ll stay here and wait for you†she said
“If I want to stop Nightmare and get back here as soon as possible, I’ll have to leave right now,†I said
She ran up to me with tears running down her face and rapped her arms around me tight. I didn’t know what to say to her to cheer her up.
“Please Vincent, come back†she said as she looked up at me
“I will, I promise,†I said
Then she stopped crying. She stopped hugging me and followed me out to the village street. She stood there watching me leave. I heard her start crying again, so I turned around and waved once more before I was out of sight.
