[49]A Telenovela
Listening to: Alana Davis
Feeling: chaotic

Yesterday was a blast. We went to a concert at san Beda college-kitchie nadal and rivermaya. It was fun, tiring, intoxicating, nauseating, and at the same time boring. The main characters in the story? (We're quite plenty y'know, 'cause nobody got left out) *Me (of course, yours truly, the narrator) *Meg (she got connections from the concert facilitators) *Matsai *Veronica *Ernest *My sis Jeca *My cousin Maco There, you have it. Now for the side characters (some of which didn't really played a part, only because I found them terribly hot) *the Tropicana vendors *The flirty guy with long sleeved-polo *flirty guy's friend, wearing striped long-sleeved polo with a body bag (he's way much cuter than the bastard flirt, mind you) *Bong Lozano-look-alike bass guitarist (with muscles and luscious hair) *the Goth guy! (Man, I love this boy) *the cameraman, who keeps on looking at matsai (he's quite cute) Who else? I can't mention the rest because they're too many, and I've seen a few alumnus and alumnae of don carlo around the gym last night.. And I can't forget... The main attraction...the VILLAIN: *Joseph Dayuta. Halfway through kitchie's concert there was a brownout and she wasn't able to perform for good five minutes. I enjoyed her performance despite what my friends said, because I love her songs, and what I DID truly enjoy when it was rivermaya's turn on the stage. At first I didn't like the band, hell; I didn't even like Rico Blanco, who was an alumnus of st. benedict-now-san Beda College. But hey, I knew all their songs in the past, when it was still Bamboo who sings in the band. The crowd obviously enjoyed rivermaya, they shouted, jumped, hooted, screamed, squealed, wailed, cried, danced, made a mosh pit though it was really not you can call a REAL mosh pit, tried a lame attempt of crowd surfing, it was a typical concert, in short. But it was really tiring being in the crowd and not seated from the bleachers. It was hot and it's as if the air I was breathing and exhaling came from the breaths of others just circling around us. It was humid and it was my first time to experience that (poor me, not quite prepared). Veronica's feet ware stepped on many times, so was meg, Ernest was punched at the back and got creamed by three girls when we tried to push him towards the stage because it was a mossimo game and he was wearing a mossimo shirt, matsai was on and off, hyper at first and then stoned the next, and I got hit by a random stone (I don't think it's a stone, though, more like a bottle cap or sumthin, but not stone). Jeca and Maco were lucky because they stuck together and they're small :). The Villain came during the first songs of Kitchie and he was quite angry at Meg. He was wearing a red jacket zipped all the way to his long chin, and remained intact until it was all over. I give my hands to that man for resisting all the heat in the crowd. How he managed to do that I don't know. All I know was that I was perspiring like Zaldy there and he was just cool, wearing the jacket like it cost a fortune. We were supposed to go to the backstage because of Meg's uncle, but we didn't get to meet the performers because it was late and there¡¦re lots of people already forming a bee line to the backstage. And so we went home past one o'clock in the wee morning, excluding Meg and Dayuta, we walked all the way from bene-er-san Beda to the highway, and THAT was a pretty long walk. We got a jeep, said our 'byes' to Vero, Matsai and Ernest, and went our way. So, with our legs and feet numb and quite satisfied youth spirit to boot, we went to our beds, put the lights out though I can still hear "Awit ng Kabataan" (song of the youth) playing in my head... ... .... ..... ...... Until I woke up this morning. I watched TV a little and then went to school for CAT. The feeling was wonderful, really. Like we're new students, me and Meg. We haven't been showing up in Saturday classes for months and they're just 'happy' to see us back. Why not, thought? We're not really going to attend if they didn't threaten us and deprive us our CAT graduating certificate. Those morons.
