Happy Easter to all of you who celebrate it :D This three day weekend has turned out to be really fun. Thursday I bought my car! (I bought it with ALL my OWN money) I got a white 99 Honda Accord. Since it’s a manual I have been spending my weekend learning how to drive it…but I’m doing really well. Trevor came over on Thursday and was teaching me how to drive stick on his truck. I had NEVER driven a truck before or a manual transmission. Friday I drove my car around…went to the orthopedic surgeon (who hopefully can cure my shin splint problem) and he drew purple lines on the bottom of my feet…and I got a flat tire. I was driving Pauline and my mom around my block TWICE, and when we got home, one of the rear tires we hissing because there was this HUGE key stuck in it. We completely had to replace the tire, but it was still under warranty, so that was good. Audra and I then decided that we wanted to go out that night, and her mom said that we could leave when she got home (since her sisters would be home alone otherwise)…but then her mom got home at like 10ish…not so good. We ended up being able to go out, but had to be back to her house by 1. We watched the whole middle part of Silence of the Lambs at Nate’s house (so missed the beginning and end)…I guess we’ll have to rent it sometime, lol. We had tons of fun riding in Audra’s bug since she only has it insured through today (sad). Saturday I went to morning pole vault practice. I was the only girl. It was fun…and I was happy cuz I got to jump :D. I love pole vaulters/track people. I then went to the DMV near Appache Junction to register my car…that took forever since it is one of the two DMVs open on Saturdays in Arizona. When I got home I went over to Lindsey T’s house to watch My Best Friend’s Wedding…such a cute movie! (Lindsey – we’ll have to do that again sometime!) After last night, my mom has OFFICIALLY extended my curfew. I’m quite excited. I then went around just randomly driving my car when Sam called, so I went over to Nate’s again…I didn’t feel like changing into my bikini though, so I sat on the side of the hot tub. We then went to Sam’s house, and I drove Sam, Nate and Noel…it was horrible! Kyle wouldn’t kept cutting me off whenever I tried to pull out (you don’t want to know what Sam ended up doing to Kyle, HAHA). We were going to watch Anchorman, but the movie got lost in transition, so we had fun watching comedy on TV. I ended up with a boy’s bathing suit in my car. I don’t know whose it is. Should be interesting. So today is Easter. My family had a nice breakfast at 11, and then we went Easter Egg hunting (next year is my last year, contrary to my mother’s beliefs, lol)…kinda sad. I took a nap today, that was nice. Well I have to go now to pick my brother up at the grocery store…don’t ask.
