Privilege

Listening to: Everclear - Wonderful
Feeling: deep
'People don't want to read shock; they want to read eloquence.' 'People don't have the right to express an opinion; they merely have the privilege to express opinions that maturity dictates.' I can't believe I said these things. I did, though. I was talking to an ignorant journalism major about why it's not okay to completely bash the fashion sense of others. Where is my eloquence when it can be useful? Like, when I have to explain to students why they get problems wrong on a failing test? (Um, well...uh...hold on, let me read that...okay?...uh huh...yes.) I suppose I don't have the right to eloquence.
