Feeling: sane
She had color on her face, which made me a little happier. I asked her how she was doing and she seemed to do just fine. After a quick debate on whether we were going to restart the movie that the three girls were watching, we ended up deciding to go in her room and hang out. Rae coughed every once in a while, but it didn't seem too casual. We tuned up music, talked and hung out. Later in the evening, things changed. I had never felt such a fear of loss for anyone. No, not even for my parents. It started when Rae came into the room, a little tired and pale and let herself fall to a bed we had setup, since one of her friends was going to sleep over at her house. I remember her weak look on her face, and the cold chill that went down my spine. She seemed so tired, her eyes closed. The glare in her eyes had vanished. Silence.
