Today was much better. My roomies called me at work (where I was stretched out on the chairs studying. I think I got 3 calls in the three hours I was working. got lots of reading done!) and told me we were going out to eat tonight. We just got back from eating at the Olive Garden. It's so weird to be the one waited on now that I'm a waitress. I notice stuff I never did before and am not hesitant to give the extra dollar to make the tip 20%. Anyway, I discovered they (my roommates) are not so annoying when we are outside of the rooms. Nicole was laying her...uh..."humor" extra thick tonight and it didn't faze me. See? I knew I just needed to get out. And I'm doing this "trying new foods" thing. It's great! like, I've discovered that I love crab, can stand shrimp and hate sushi. (coming from nebraska, sea food is not a food you eat, just something you hear about and read on the menus) ok, so where was I going with this? I don't know. anyway, I cried a lot last night and took a long nap today after mass and was actually able to study. (side note, my roommate is lying on the floor peddling her feet in the air...you know you've lived with someone long enough when you a) can do that with someone else in the room and b) not laugh at the person doing that in the room). Unfortunatly I still have german and spanish to do. Which means I'll be looking up words for the next 4 hours. thank GOD for on-line dictionaries. at least linguistics was fascinating. The roomies didn't even roll their eyes as I spat out some facts at dinner tonight. yup yup. ---------- so, we did dress up for halloween, but just last week.
