Listening to: Stephen Kings - Cats Eye
Feeling: powerful
People... Always thinking about the bullshit negative prospects of life. Your hair doesnt comb the right way and you get pissed; im guilty of that. You gain a little weight ane certain clothes dont fit right anymore. You get stuck in traffic, and yell out obsenities. You get the wrong burger at a fast food place and make a huge deal about it, then bring it back and bitch; that of which I am also guilty of. Why do we as complex, intelligent humans make such a big deal out of the small stuff in life? Sure, many people are stupid, but compared to other animals and insects in this world, even the dumbass people are the most intelligent in general. So why do we do it? Someone complains about a botched breast implant surgery, as if silicon is so natural and perfect; meanwhile a vietnam vet who lost their leg or arm in that massive war, would see this as pety bullshit, and say "Ohh boo hoo!" We as human beings, always have stuff to complain about, and more often than not, it is simple minded crap that should require nothing more than a shrug of the shoulders. However, we persist in making a big deal out of everything. Like I said, even I am guilty of such things. Then you have people with more severe problems that cannot be helped without medical help, such as depression. These people dwell on nothing but negativity, and I feel fortunate that my girlfriend Aimee has gotten over her depression, due to being with me. No..... Im not trying to talk about myself like im a god, im not some asshole that thinks im so good I made her depression go away. She infact, told me so. I have no doubt in my mind she still has minor depression spells every once in a while, while being with me, but that is not the point of my post.
What's my point? My point is to tell everyone to stop for a minute, and think about the positive factors of your life. Stop dwelling on your pety problems and think of whats good in your life; it can be a real uplifting experience. Keep in mind, I am not referring to those with depression, I realize that is and can be a serious problem. What I speak of are those that do not suffer from depression, or any other emotional driven problem for that matter. Everyday people who dwell on BS, get over it, for just a moment, and think of what you have going for you thats good in your life.
I spent some time thinking about the good in my life, and i would like to share my "list" with you all now. I urge all of you to do the same. Especially my baby Aimee, aside from getting some help/medication for your depression spells someday, which I know you can be stubborn about, just stop babe, stop and think of all the good in your life, and what it means to you. This is the good in my life:
The People, And The Prospects Of My Life:
1. I have a family that loves me and supports me...
Not everyone can say the same. What with abusive dysfunctional families, that is infact a serious problem. I truely feel bad for those who have to deal with abusive parents, siblings, and relatives, whether physically or verbally abusive, molestation, and so on. Sure, every family has it's ups and downs. Your family can be a real pain in the ass sometimes, I know mine can, but I know they love me, and have sacrificed for me, and thats all the matters.
2. I have a girlfriend that loves me, and I her, Aimee...
We have our problems here and there as well, what couple doesnt? The way I see it, in order to truely be in love, couples fight sometimes, thats life. Like they say, it's better to argue and whatnot than to just hold it in and let it build and build until you explode. More often than not, doing that is usually when abuse, or worse, murder is a result, and thats much worse than your little arguments and disagreements. Fact is, me and my girlfriend have a great relationship. We know the love is there, and 95% of the time we have a great time together, and that is all that is important.
3. I have friends that care about me...
I personally, and very selective of my friends. After my teenage days of hanging out with nothing but low life hoodlums, as an adult, I now only associate with those who care about me, not your wallet, not you car, and not your popularity status. I am ashamed I ever hung out with those dumb fucks from my past in Roswell. These days, I may not have many friends, 5 at most, but the ones i do have are very caring, very cool, and very smart. Like I said, im selective, thus I only stay friends with the good ones, and there are many backstabbers in this world that have come and gone. BY THE WAY... Ishy, Shayna, Luke, and all of you other internet friends I have, I don't count you as the 5 friends I have. When i say I only have 5 friends, I mean in my town, whom I hang out with in person. However, don't get the wrong idea. Just because I say i dont "count" you doesnt mean you are not just as important to me, or as valuable as friends. I just place you in a different category thats all. You are all my internet friends, my really good, cool internet friends; different from my real life town friends who I hang out with, that is the only distinction. Soooo dont go thinking i think of you any less, cause i don't. Same deal as Aimee, we may only be going out over the net, long distance relationship, but that doesnt mean I value her less than any real life girlfriends I've had in the past. She is actually infact more important to me than any real life girl I've ever been with, and thats the truth baby. So internet friends who care you rock to!
4. My animal friends/pets...
Who doesnt love animals? They fill you with joy when your sad, they show you love, and they even provide entertainment. I admit, a lot of the time I dont pay any attention to my dog, Sparky, who is half chihuahua half dachshund; but anytime I think about him dying, or me losing him, I get a massive feeling of sorrow. I've even shed tears just thinking about it. He is a good dog, truely mans best friend. He may be a bit whiney, but he is my lil buddy and I love him. I love playing with him, he is a true fan of the infamous doggy toy, the tennis ball. I swear he inherited that from his father, our other family dog, Bo. To bad im not dedicated enough to train him though; he definately has the potential to learn some awesome tricks with the tennis ball, more than likely enough to win some trophies and prize money **cough** money for his owner that is **me!**. Although I would definately spend some of the money on him. Unfortunately, I just never got interested enough to train him. Oh well, he has fun playing normally, me throwing, him fetching, its fun for us both, so thats all that matters. Then there is my cat Cybil, she is my lil feline friend. No offense to my lil buddy dog Sparky, but felines are my favorite animals. Cybil is mostly a house cat so I do spend more time with her than I do Sparky, which I do feel guilty about sometimes. It's not so much that im not an outside person, it's just I dont go in the backyard much; why? don't ask me, I just dont. Then there are my fish, yes, simple fish. Fish are freakin awesome, especially if you know which ones to buy, the interactive ones. Betas (Siamese Fighting Fish), Black Skirt Tetras, certain catfish breeds, they all interact with you. I dont really like fish that are scared of you when you come up to the aquarium and go hide, or don't move. Right now I have some black skirt tetras, and they love me. Everytime i come close to the tank they all swim to the front and wiggle around all excited like, happy to see me. I talk to them, yes I do lol. The ultimate interactive fishy of course is a male betta, they are awesome. Unfortunately however, the last few that I've had, died from stress or disease, from which I could not save them. I still remember the first betta I had.... He got sick like 5 times, and I saved his life each and every time. He died of old age, which is the best, most natural way to go. Bettas are also cool in the fact they do not run and hide when you stick your hand in the tank. I love my black skirt tetras but even they avoid me when I put my hand in the water for adjustments and whatnot. Betas, they actually swim TOWARDS your hand and check you out at close range. I remember the betta I had that i saved his life 5 times, he got so used to me, he'd actually eat out of my hand. Id stick my fingers in the water with food, and he'd pluck it right out of my finger tips, so awesome. I also had a Tarantula, named Piccolo. He was a cool lil spider, but I sold him to this dumbass guy one of my friends knew, and I don't know if he is still even alive these days. Stupid mistake. I just didn't want to have him for 30 years, because he was a male, and if male spiders dont mate, they live for over 40 years, so i sold him. Lastly, there is my deceased friend, Ferris, my Ferret. I miss him so much still to this day. He died of an internal disease, and I feel so bad we couldnt help him in time. He was so playful, so carefree, and liked to take craps on the carpet in the corners of the house lol.... I still can't wait for the day I will own a tiger, tigers are so awesome, I will own one someday, and name him Simba. Yes I know thats the LIONS name from Lion king, but it fits with a tiger as well.
5. I have my health...
Not much to say here, I have my health, and that is definately a positive aspect of life. Although sometimes, my blood sugar does get high, and that only causes damage to my kidneys, eyes, and feet. I am a diabetic for those who dont know me that well. However, my blood sugar doesnt get high that often, so if I can just take a tad bit better care of myself, i will have no worries about future problems with my health. Other than that, I am into working out and martial arts meditation. Yes, I have gotten lazy and a tad bit fat, but that will not be a forever type deal, I will guarantee that.
6. My college days...
College, truely the best years of your life. Sorry people, but they lie to you when they say High School are the best years of your life. I have had more fun being a college student than my entire public school years growing up. Not to mention, college grants you a great paying career after your finished and get your degree. A HS diploma can only get you so far, minimum wage to 20 bucks an hour at most, and the whole 20 dollars an hour thing, takes YEARS of building to accomplish. Most college based careers will earn you 20-40 dollars an hour, from the START, and only build from there, so in the long run, yes, you do infact make more money from a college degree than a HS diploma. You may have to pay thousands of dollars to attend college, but in the long run, it is worth it for sure. If you dont believe me, ask a family who the older adults have worked all their lives from nothing but a High School diploma, compared to the same person at the same age with a college degree. The person with the college degree will be much better off money, health, security, and happiness wise.
7. I have a job right now...
Yes, It's not exactly a college career, mainly because I haven't gotten my degree yet; however, for NOW it's great. At this time in my life, I can only get a minimum wage job, which is better than being broke. Having a job makes you have a sense of self worth, self importance, and self care. Whether minimum wage or highly paid, you feel you have some sense of security, and that's what matters. My lil job now may be good at this moment in time, making 7 dollars an hour, but I really can't wait till im out of college, making 30 dollars an hour. Thats life baby! And for those who have no jobs, and are looking (Aimee) dont worry, you'll get one soon, just keep looking, and don't give up.
8. I have a future ahead...
My future, providing im in good health, is a major positive factor in my life. My future will entail having a good paying job of course, having everything I need. A wife (Aimee), a family, a freaking life! Not just some poor bum living in an alley way, or some poor shlub living pay check to pay check.

Material Possessions:
Before I list these apsects, let me just say; sure, many people consider material possessions to be nothing more than a product of greed and self worth. Mainly hippies and amish people think this way lol.... Which is fine, for them, i do not judge. However, for most people, material possessions bring happiness and joy, and well, to be blatantley honest, who here doesnt own material possessions? The fact your on the internet says you own a computer, which is just that. So on with the list...
9. I own a vehicle...
What can I say? Get's me from point A to point K..... And well, yes some can be very cool looking and stylish. Cars, Trucks, Vans, SUV's, etc... They all rock!
10. My DVD/Movie collection...
What else can bring you such pleasure media wise than to watch a movie. Like they say, escape reality, watch a movie today! I love my DVD movie collection, something I am very proud of.
11. My CD/Music collection...
Music, yet another thing that brings you great pleasure. Music is so powerful. It can bring out certain emotions nothing else can at certain times. I love my music! Rap, Hip-Hop, Heavy Metal, Alternative, Techno, Classical, and even some foreign Hispanic, German, and Japanese music. Music is so damn powerful, even if I cant understand all the words to some of my foreign music, I still love it. The beat, the mood, the time, it all fits perfectly sometimes.
12. My anime collection...
What can I say? I love anime...... It means a lot to me. For you clueless peeps, anime is Japanese animaation, such as Dragonball Z, InuYasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Princess Mononoke, Read or Die, 3X3 Eyes, Blue Seed, Hellsing, etc... Anime brings me much pleasure, sorry, im not being anti-patriotic, I love America, my country (Even is Bush is ruining it), but Anime is superior to American animation. Anime just expresses life much better. Life, death, real life situations, realism, all of that, anime is awesome! I love South Park, The Simpsons, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Family Giy, American Dad, Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, etc... but they do not compare to anime in the slightest.
13. Video Games...
I....... Simply love video games, they are one of the ultimate forms of entertainment. Video games serve so many purposes in my opinion. Had a bad day but your not a homicidal maniac? Blow away people in a video game..... In a happy mood? Play Mario, Sonic, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, or a sports game. It's all great! Videoa games... wow.... jyst wow... And they are getting better and better as days go by. I swear when im in my 90's I will own the most recent video game system, and by then (im 22 now) video games will be so awesome it will be unreal. Unreal Tournament anyone? Anyone???
14. T.V./ Cable
Who here doesnt like T.V.? Whether you watch a lot or not so much, it is entertaining. Television is like bread and butter in the fact it is a revolution in time and history. Without T.V. I wouldnt be able to experience animated anime, cartoons, TV shows, video games, and even computers. Without T.V. computers would not be what they are today, monitor wise.... Web TV anyone?
15. Cell Phones...
I love Cell Phones, even though mines not working right now, they are a god send. Emergencies, important calls away from home, or just gabbing all day, they are a great innovation to the normal household phone. No, im not one to gab, infact, im not really a phone person at all as far as talking to friends and "gossiping" all damn day, thats retarded. Id rather talk in person or chat over the net myself. But cell phones are great for emergencies especially. Stranded on the road when your car breaks down, no problem, I got my cell, that is if there is no interference resulting in no signal that is lol.
16. Computers/Internet
Computers....... They are awesome, I love computers. Obviously i do, or I wouldnt have picked computer programming as a college degree. Computers have the power to provide business solutions, personal data management, and even entertainment. Then theres the internet. Thank Al Gore for that baby! He invented the internet right? Without the internet I would have never enjoyed so many things, or gotten so much info; not to mention, met my love, Aimee. I love you baby!
-----------------------------------------------
Various Pleasure In Life:
17. Beer/Partying
Who doesnt like to party? Yes Aimee baby, I know you said you dont like to party, but I do, to a certain POINT that is. Im not the type who likes to party with a bunch of strangers with only a few friends there. When I party, I like to be with nothing but friends, whether it's just me and one friend, or a boat load. As long as I know everyone, im comfortable. As far as beer/alcohol goes, getting a buzz is fun, it's social, it's awesome! And before anyone gets the wrong idea, no, im not an alcoholic, I drink responsibly, meaning I know my limit, and never get completely trashed, thats stupid. Sure, I do get wasted, on special occasions such as birthdays, holidays, and celebrations, but in general everyday situations, no, I don't get wasted, that leads to no where.
18. General Beverages
Pepsi, Coca Cola, Dr. Pepper, Iced Tea, even water....... Sometimes that's all it takes to make one happy for a moment. All those ridiculous commercials you see advertising Coke and making you happy, can be true. They are exaggerated of course to sale their product, but have some true properties none the less. My favorite currently is cherry coke. My girlfriend LOVES energy drinks, and that is my point, they make her happy. She drinks them and she enjoys it, thats what it's all about.
19. Sex/Orgasms
Yeah, go ahead, call me a pervert lol...... But it is a fact, having sex, and/or having an orgasm is a pleasureable fact of life. Whether you have sex, or masturbate, it feels good, and no one can deny that, unless your a nun lol, and they make a huge sacrifice which I respect. As far as masturbating, im not ashamed, I don't think im a loser, and yes, i will admit it, im a freakin guy, of course I masturbate. Women do to, whether they say they dont or not. Masturbation is healthy, it releases tension, and yes, gives your hand a work out haa haa..... Don't get me wrong, I've had my fair share of sex before, but honestly, whether you have sex a lot or not, you masturbate, admit it people! Statistics dont lie, you do! :P The feeling of release is awesome, whether in sex or masturbation. Yes, sex is of course better, especially when your in love, but either way, the release is a positive aspect of life; and I am happy to say I am very happy and healthy in that department baby!
20. Having Money...
Money..... Makes the world go round. Sorry gangsta thugs, but rappers are wrong. As much as I like rap, im afraid gangsters do not infact make the world go round. I love having money, even if it's just a lil bit. I got a dollar? Hell I can buy a soda! Fuck yeah biatch! lol.... I love having money to pay my bills, buy CD's, DVD's, Video Games, Gas for my vehicle, and everything else I need and want. Money is good, making life good. Those who don't have money, I feel bad for you, so go earn some! lol....
21. Humor...
Who doesn't like to laugh? Humor makes one feel really good. Not to mention, they also say laughing causes you to burn calories, so laughing all the time COULD infact become a work out session! Same as sex, which can burn major calories. And sorry to all you one inch dick guys, but if your woman laughs at you while making love, twice the workout lol! (Bob from Enzyte commercials is a great example of a one inch dick bastard). Comedy is a great thing... Humans need to be able to laugh to have a good time, it's a fact, those who laugh have a much more stress free life. To bad a lot of comedians are depressed themselves; evebn worse many people find nothing funny, tight asses, need to lighten up, seriously.
22. Happiness...
What can I say? Happiness is happiness, no matter how or where you find it. Everything I have listed brings me happiness, so thats kinda arbitrary to list.
23. Being alive...
Yet another thing.... What can i say? Being alive is what brings both positive and negative. Without life, you never experience these feelings. But the fact you are alive, and that you can feel, and have a choice in things should make you happy in itself. Sure, we all die, we will all die someday; but, without life to begin with, you would never experience happiness or the feeling of being alive at all. You would be... well nothing. Not even air. So next time you feel so upset about your lifes pety bullshit problems, just be happy you even have a life to begin with.
-----------------------------------------------
Well thats my list people. The things im most appreciative of, what I hold sacred to my heart and soul. I hope you liked my book of an entry. I sure had fun writing it so late at night. Everyone who reads this entry, please..... Really READ IT, take it in, think about it, and I hope you make a list of your own.
