Often people see a hero as a famous celebrity or someone who has cured a disease. People usually don't consider an ordinary, everyday person as qualifying to be titled "a hero". In my eyes, a hero can be found in those ordinary people, however.
I think a hero is one who loves unconditionally and goes out of their way to make you feel worthwhile. They are the type of people who, no matter what they say inspires and encourages you. Once a person like this walks into your life, it's never the same.
Do you have this one person in your life who no matter how low you're feeling can lift you up and make you smile? No matter what you're going through, their words are always what you need to hear? Whatever needs to be said, they'll say it, with each of their words being so inspirational and meaningful?
Have you ever wondered why certain people are brought into your life? That's a question I think about a lot. I believe God has a reason for everything. Each and every person we come across, I believe, we have something to learn from them. It speaks volumes about someone's character, when you are struggling, that they can still love you and accept you just the same. It takes a heroic person, I think, to be able to see past the flaws and love unconditionally in today's world.
You learn so much in the short time of finding your role model, your hero. You begin discovering things about yourself and life, definetly more than you would expect learning from just one friend. Someone once said that one person can change the course of a life. My hero has changed mine and taught me to have a greater appreciation for life. She has shown me not only the true meaning of friendship, but also the true love of God. I believe God sent her into my life for a reason. Without her, I wouldn't be the person I am today. In my eyes, that is a true definition of a hero.
