Shawn was suddenly attracted to Nathan's house, like gasoline to the flame. He found any reason to come over, any reason to run into Jamie. She was the one girl, he couldn't have. Nathan began telling him about indistinct stories he couldn't pay attention to. His mind wandered far into the sky. Though it was raining, there was the sunlight, somewhere, peaking out of his brain. He imagined the park which seemed like one hundred years ago. But Jamie was there, her illusion made you dizzy. The park erased all it's beauty because nothing amounted to her. She didn't deserve to be in the world, she needed to be in the sky, with the angels. Because that's what she was. An angel. Enough to wipe you out and dream forever. She was smiling at him. Then her lips began moving, he hadn't realized what she was saying, but it turned into "Your mother..." Her face experession changing, and he heard her voice for the first time. "...is on the phone." And reality hit him in the face, laughing at his fantasy, but dissapointed because that's all it would ever be.
