"Jamie. Jamie... please get into the car."
Her arms were crossed as she walked alone, Shawn driving alongside her slowly.
"Why?" She stopped, waiting for an answer.
"Why do you think I'm following you home? You think I'm going to let you walk alone in the middle of the night?"
"What? You're scared I can't take care of myself? You think I'll get raped or something?" Jamie snapped. She never sounded like this before. Shawn would've laughed if he didn't feel like throwing up.
"Jamie... please. Seriously, just get in the car because I'm not leaving, anyway. There's really no point of walking."
"Oh yeah?" Jamie debated. Then suddenly, as if lightning struck, she ran as fast as she could, into the trees, as far as she could away from the street. "JAMIE!" Shawn screamed, immediatly running after her. Shawn ran behind her, at first, he couldn’t see her, but when he caught up to her, all he could hear was the sound of his heavy breathing and his footprints against the leaves which cracked underneath them. He got close enough to grab her, and when he did, they both almost collapsed over each other, but he held her up, hugging her tightly. Jamie was squirming and shaking. “Shawn, stop it. Shawn! Stop!” He wouldn’t let go of her, his voice whispered in her ear “I’m sorry, I’m sorry…” But her commands overpowered his apologies. Jamie then grabbed his shoulders and pushed him off of her, sprinting as fast as she could, almost tripping to her destination of nowhere.
