Shawn quietly tip-toed up the stairs, making sure Jamie was nowhere in sight. He opened the first door which squeaked. It made his heart hold it's breath. He exhaled to find that the door led to a pink bathroom. Then he saw the door. He knew it must have been hers. The doorknob creaked as he opened the door. Jamie's room... The lightest shade of creme. White sheets... and red rose petals everywhere, fresh. Probably from all the boys that fell for her. Shawn searched the hall for any signs of beauty. He didn't see Jamie, so he entered, closing the door. His heart was racing. He knew he only had a few minutes. Her room was light and innocent. A window with red curtains to match the roses was flowing from the breeze. He looked outside it, softly moving them, inhaling the scent. Outside, he could see the driveway. Jamie was there. Her car was a little light yellow beetle. Her friends were coming out of it, laughing. Bags were in their hands, they must've came back from the mall. For a second, Shawn imagined Jamie as his girlfriend... and suddenly, his life seemed flawless. He imagined he had Jamie... a relationship no sex can fall into... that Brian can't destroy... a real job... sadness and desperation... diminished. How perfect. Slow footsteps came up the stairs. Jamie's voice was talking to her attractive friends. "Oh, God... they're coming." He whispered. He looked around the room, spotted a bathroom door, but it was on the other side. He had no time... then ran into the closet next to him. As soon as he closed the door, Jamie opened hers. "...was completly wassssssssted!!" laughed one of her friends. "How depressing." Said another. They all giggled. Jamie was taking out all her new clothes "I'm going to put these away." She turned and faced the closet. Shawn could hear his own heartbeat. She lifted a shirt and looked it over, smiling. She looked at the closet before opening it. Right between the slits. Right at Shawn. He was so nervous, he immediatly covered his mouth so his exhales couldn't be heard. Her friends were talking behind her on her bed, but their voices were diminishing. She smiled at him. "You know what guys..." she said, "I'll put these away later." She folded her new shirt, and placed it on the bed. "Let's go downstairs." She said, while smiling at the closet.
