Friday came. Finally. Shawn decided that Damien needed to get away from everything that was going on. He highly doubted the party would make his whole life better, but it was worth a shot if the happiness lasted only a few seconds. Damien was staring outside the tinted windows. The sun was beaming down, concentrating on Shawn's black vehicle. Shawn was thinking about what Jamie was telling him, trying to remember. "...Come early." He was coming earlier than early. He began to feel desperate and drove slower. He imagined Jamie waking up and looking beautiful. How she looked like now... he tried to picture her getting ready... putting on her makeup, although she didn't need any.
They arrived. Damien exhaled. "So, why are we coming here early again?"
"No reason." Shawn said automatically.
Nathan was watching T.V. before finding himself interrupted by the doorbell. He stood, surprised, checking the time like it was routine.
"Shawn. Hey!"
“Hey.... this is my friend, Damien.â€
“Hey! Any friend of Shawn’s is a friend of mine.â€
Nathan led the two inside. Damien’s eyes wandered around the gorgeous house, whilst Shawn searched the room for Jamie.
“You guys want a drink?†Nathan spoke, purposely breaking the silence.
Nathan led them both into the kitchen where Nathan’s father was. Rodney was just grabbing a beer from the refidgerator, when he noticed the three perfectly attractive young men standing in the doorway. “Hello, children.†Rodney had a thick voice, most likely from all the beer he drank throughout his life, but never gaining a pound on his perfect body.
“Hi.â€
“Hey.â€
“I don’t believe we met... I’m Rodney.â€
“I’m Shawn, this is Damien.â€
“Hello.†They greeted, trying to appear casual.
Shawn tried to picture himself as normal. It saddened him, that nobody, nobody, except those who went down with him, can’t help him get back out.
