Feeling: swamped
Something incredibly odd happened yesterday. I had a test in Honors Geometry and I was stressing out about it because I had to memorize four pages of notes. I went to lunch with my notebook and I tossed it down on the table, and before I could sit down, Joel took it and asked me what it was. I told him that I had to study for Geometry and I wasn't in the mood. He asked me what we were on, and I said triangles. Then he told me he'd help me study and he opened up to my notes and started asking me questions and it helped relieve a lot of stress because I realized that I knew the stuff a lot better than I thought. Then he gave me my notes back and told me he'd help me more after he ate. So I was eating my lunch and since he got his before I did, he came over and was quizzing me while I was eating. Twice! I was actually really surprised. Just when you think that everyone's too self-involved to help out, someone just comes out and surprises you. Then he told me that he wants to know what I got on the test when I get my grade back and that he was sure I would get a 100%. I dunno about that, but when I took the test, I was able to chill out and remember the material. I feel like I'm in debt to Joel. I mean I know it's just one test, but I was really stressed out that day, and just when you think no one is paying attention to you and it seems like no one cares about what's going on in your life, someone just comes and offers help when you need it most.
