Feeling: misunderstood
"But I'm ready to settle down now, yeah I'm ready to leave that wrecking ball behind."
I honestly do not feel like detailing Thanksgiving vacation. It was awfully nice, I've simply had to detail it so many a'times today that I can't bring myself to tell it anymore.
I came back Saturday though. And that night I went to Calvin's, and Nate and Meghan Lyons and Jen Drouin were there. They liked the song I made up on my keyboard, and we later went to Bull Moose Music where I purchased one Ugly Organ album and one Bright Eyes sticker, which now holds tightly to the top hump of my guitar.
Heh heh, I said hump. I'm sooooooo cool.
School was unfortunate today, simply because it was a school day aprés mes vacances. I gave Marggi the shoes I bought for her. She liked them. So did Ally. I was glad.
I had a BLT for lunch and turned in Art Contest #1's entry to Ms. Craig. She likes it, I suppose. I got really pissed though. It was done in pastel, and she told me to spray clear enamel over it so that it wouldn't smudge in the mail. So I went outside and sprayed it on, and it made the color so much darker than I would ever want it to be. It unblended the green and blue so that the red and orange shone through a lot. So I did what I could with it and put another thin shadow pastel layer over. It looks alright again, I suppose. It's fairly obvious that I won't win though, so I really don't know why I even care. Pffsh.
Marggs and I went into Mom's Freshman English class 4th period because we both have study hall then. Mom had us do a skit representing the thought process in Dorothy Parker's The Waltz. Mom asked Marggi if she liked her new shoes, and Marggi had to pretend she didn't, but pretend she did. I know that makes zero sense to you. But The Waltz is all about this woman dancing with this ma, saying he's a lovely dancer and she's having a wonderful time, when all she's really thinking about is how awful he is and how much her feet hurt and such. So Marggi, in the skit, didn't like the shoes, but said she did, and I was what she was really thinking, describing how awful they really were.
C'était très amusant.
After school, I went home, put more minutes on my cell phone so that I can actually answer calls now, went to the bowling alley with Sam and Josh for pool and foosball, then to Chris & Leeann's to watch the Dugen DVD with the footage I took in their music videos. Dugen ha band practice then anyway, so Sam and I watched Home Improvement, Roseanne, and Everybody Loves Raymond with Leeann and her sister and the crazy dogs while Dugen was booming from the basement. It was nice.
Gabe took Sam and I back to their house, where I watched CSI, and now I have returned to my humble abode for this and a shower and sleep and more Cursive.
Exeunt.
P.S. Lauren McLaurenface, your entries don't show up on my computer anymore. It only shows your title and the date. Because my computer hates me like whoa.
