My Great Grandmother passed away yesterday morning at 10:40. I am the one that answered the phone at my house. My grandpa called and i went out and told my mom and went back to bed. It still didnt click after i went work and everything. I just didnt really think she was gone. Then today we had the viewing. I walk in there and reality is starting to hit. Then finally i see her laying in the casket and the tears just hit me like a knife. I am able to hold back and i give my grandma a hug and talk to other relatives. The worst time for reality to finally sink in is at the funeral home in front of everybody else. My great grandmother looks great compared to the last time i saw her. They did a really nice job on her make up and she looks so much better. She was so i dont know how to explain. she seemed so at peace. Shirey just called me because i had called him earlier today. My mom seems to be more at peace with my decision and she was telling people at the funeral home that I am joining the army and that she has three G.I. Joes. I think I am going to tell Shirey on Tuesday that i want to go ahead and sign the papers. Hopefully, he will be understanding enough to let me wait a week to pull my job and stuff so its not all hitting my mom at once. I am sure it is what i want to do and after they are signed it will be the end of having to figure it out. well i am goin to go to sleep for a little while bye
