Cognitive Processes

Well, I popped over to this INFP forum and found a link to a test that tests the development of your cognitive processes. I’ve taken this test before, and usually it says that I’m either INFJ or INTJ. Note: this test isn't meant to determine ones type. Here’s what we came up with today. By focusing on the MBTI, according to this test, I would be an INTJ. By focusing Jungian method, namely the development of my functions, I would be an INFJ. The order of my functional development, as listed here, is this: Ni, Fe, Te, Ti, Ne, Si, Se, Fi. The test can be found The Test I believe that the reason why I keep getting different results on this test, at least, is because I have a poor grasp on my own social development. Although it does present a lovely argument against my being INFP, no offense to INFPs, but that makes me very happy since I have a hard time not thinking of the type as weak for some reason. Not that INFPs are, but perhaps, when I act like an INFP, it is weak for me because it is out of preference. When I do feel unconfident I find myself hitting the Ne button and coming up with things that could go wrong, and I start questioning myself. Also, I use ‘Fi’ only when I’m depressed I’ve found, or when I’m acting defensively. Some descriptions of Fi have lead me to think of it as a selfish function and thus I conclude that it is not my hero function. Oh, Summer Fest is on in my community! I’m going to it tomorrow with my family! It’ll be fun to see what they’re selling, but what makes Summer Fest great is seeing people there that I haven’t seen in ages! You never know who you’ll run into down there! Although it can get a bit, dull at times, seeing people there is what really makes it all worth it. ~Amyelk Out
