To an Unnamed Philosophy Major

Dear Elitist Philosophy Major, Although I know how much you love feeling superior to other people, I would like to ask you to stop stereotyping other majors in my presence. Perhaps it wouldn't bother me so much if you stereotyped them in a positive light, but some how listening to you call all Nursing majors and all Education majors dumb grinds my nerves. I like to think of them being smart in a different way. Both of those majors are very good with people, yet you seem to discredit that as a form of intellect. It makes me wonder what you say about English majors when I'm not around. Perhaps you think you are superior because of the model of the Ideal society in which the Idealists are philosopher kings. I believe that the true philosopher king recognizes that each part of society is essential to it's well being and thus does not be little the Artisans, Guardians, or Rationals. So, please stop stereotyping people. I greatly doubt that you know every Nursing major and every Education major in this country, and thus you have no right to judge them all as being one way or another. Sincerely, Irate English Major

hahahaha that's so ironic because i think of philosophy majors as time-wasting, pretentious pigs.

and i tease Caleb about taking philosophy classes all the time. but it's okay, cos he's a chemistry major.

but you have to admit, sometimes it's kinda fun to secretly stereotype majors.
i like to hang out in the student centre at USU sometimes and pick out art majors from the crowd.
Nursing major is not dumb! Or at least it won't be when some nurse saves their life. Or knows how to stick a huge needle where it hurts! kaylers
