Finances

There are days when I really wish that I could make like a philospher from the Romantic era and go live up in the woods away from society so that I didn't have to worry about money. I love it here at school. I think I might have found a way to make more money stuffing envelopes for DI publishing. Unfortunely, I'm kind of skeptical of how legit it is. I did find the ad for it on campus, but when I recieved the information from them, it was riddled with errors and inconsistancies. The big heading at the top reads "Earn up to $750/Wk..." while in the text it says "earn up to $1500 or more a week." They didn't even bother to put the comma in $1,500. In all fairness they also said that you would get $3 per envelope, so it isn't as inconsistant as it could be. Here's another sentance "For those of your who need an extra..." See, your instead of you! If this really were a respectable company who had been selling books through the mail for ten years, don't you think that they would get a decent editor? Or at least edit, period. Even I can find these errors and I'm only part way through my first upper division english class! On top of this, I bet a bunch of these mailings end up in the landfill, so this might not be the most environmentally friendly way to make extra cash. Although it is their choice whether to recycle or not. They should create a "Do Not Send Elicit Mail To" list to go along with the do not call list. I'm really going to have to think about whether to try this or not. There is an initial fee of $40 to get started. Why would a reputible company that sells books send out such a flawed advertisment. I just don't know... I am that desperate to find a way to take care of my alternative loans, in just over four months, since I'd have to take some money out for taxes of course and my dad calculates about a third is taken out plus tithing... In other, happier news, I got a letter from Tyler! He sent me a picture of himself along with his letter! He also answered one of my earlier questions about what his favourite scriptures are. I feel like such a girly girl. Its fun to be young single and crazy. ~Amyelk Out
