To town!

Feeling: bashful
I had an interesting weekend, I guess. I really want to get a fringe! I have been mulling over it for the last couple of weeks actually, and I really really think it'd look good. Not one of those side fringes either: a full on straight across fringe. Only thing is, I don't really have enough hair. Also: my hairdresser probably won't let me. She won't let me dye my hair anymore because it's so thin it gets ruined, so it has been my natural colour since March last year. Solution? Get a new hairdresser! Lawra and I are going to dye my hair darker anyway so it's not like I can go back to for a while after that, because she will crack the shits. Actually, I haven't seen her around for the last couple of months, I might pop in before work and see if she's still around. Anyway, my weekend. It all started on Friday because I got my folio handed in. Nicole met me at work and we went to Melbourne Central first to visit Danielle [I cut myself with a scalpel: fuck! And instead of immediately getting a bandaid Nicole ran into one of her friends, Dan. AND STARTED TALKING TO HIM. I sat in the corner screaming, all the while with my finger in my mouth because it was bleeding everywhere, and I'm sure Dan thought I was retarded. At that stage I didn't give a shit, because I was bleeding]. While I finished off one of my artists books, they sat and had a chat, eating lunch. Eventually Dan left, and Nicole and I headed off to Caulfield. Marian came out as I was doing more work outside the Fine Arts building, as she was leaving. She didn't seem to care; in fact, I think she expects me to have not done much work. Pssht, well I'll show her next year. WATCH ME. We had a chat and of course, Sarah hadn't arrived yet. So we went up to the studio and waited for everyone to arrive. Brooke and I went on Facebook, and I felt bad for Nicole because she was tired and didn't know anyone so she was kind of being ignored. =[ GAB WAS SO FUCKING LOUD! I'd been up since 5am because of work, but apparently the Gab we normally see is "Hungover Gab" or "Studious Gab" so it was a bit of a shock to come across "Desperately needs a drink Gab" who wouldn't shut up. But we eventually called it a truce because I was just in shock more than anything. Hmm, Ian just added me to Facebook. Blast from the past! To town! We travelled to Flinders to meet Liv, Nicole left us at Richmond. Brooke and I had to buy new shoes, so we did so in 20 minutes, and were quite proud of ourselves. We then trammed up to QV to dump my belongings in the store room, and I was later told that apparently the group I was with didn't look like my friends, according to Tess and Rob. Pssht!! I got so offended. Tess told me it was because she thought I'd be with quirkier people, and Rob said it was because I was shorter than them. Christ almighty he is AN IDIOT! TACO BILL WAS FULL. And after all that parading down the street screaming "Enchiladaaa! SPICY Enchilada!!!" So then we went to the bottle-o [lol] and purchased a slab of Smirnoff ice [when relayed to Tess the next night, she nearly choked on her Starbucks coffee. "That's so cheap!!" Hahahahaha, we're scummy, we just wanted to get drunk.] and the clerk cracked up when he saw Sarah's ID. Oh dear. We found a Chinese BYO in Chinatown, who would have thought! Then we ate and drank and were merry. There were lots of photos taken and we talked about religion [?!], boyfriends and Liv's grandmother's genetalia surgery. LOL. The night begins to get blurry from here on in, but from what I can recall I tried to smoke again but failed and Gab got it in one, then we snuck our alcohol into Sister Bella and poured into the water glasses... theeeen... got kicked out. Ha. So embarrassing actually because I love Sister Bella. So we went to St Jeromes and I actually can't remember anything about St Jeromes except throwing up, Gab and Liv leaving to get stoned, and sitting in the room next door with Brooke and Sarah which Liv found terribly funny. I also used up all my photos there, so I need to get them developed to see! I cannot even remember how we got home. All I remember is waking up, being confused, then realising I was stuck to the person next to me and freaking out because I thought I drank someone else's water, and the someone else was the owner of the used bandaid I could barely make out in the dark. Then Brooke got up to vomit. The first of many times. I followed suit. Gab had gone home, but Sarah and Liv were in the other room [Brooke and I were in Liv's brother's room] but we all just felt like shit. I had to work however, as did Brooke. So she went to the train station and Liv drove Sarah and I to the city, where we sat in the members room at NGV and sipped on free chamomile tea and ate the pree anzac biscuits. We still felt sick. But I purchased an umbrella from the NGV store so I was pleased. Headed to Magnation, ran into Rachelle on the way, who was with a boy. Not notable really, except she was hanging off his arm... anyway, neither of us stopped, but we asked about each other's drawing folios. Which reminds me. I need ot wrap this up soon, I have to get up early-ish to get a move on that... ugggh. Transcription sucks!! But yes, to Magnation. I went with the intent to get my Frankie and the free cupcake that came with, but when I got there, THEY HAD JALOUSE IN STOCK!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. I was jumping up and down and squealing and Sarah was talking but I wasn't really listening because they had Jalouse. This is after going in there every week for months and having to spell out the name of the magazine because they didn't know how to pronounce it in French. I almost cried I was so happy! So I snapped it up right away, along with my Frankie and free cupcake which came in the cutest little bag.. naw. Sarah has been hooked by Sportsgirl. It's not so long since the cold wintery day when we ate chestnuts and cinnamon cashews and she could barely walk into Sportsgirl without displaying a fair amount of hostility. Now she is enamoured! I was amused. She bought sunglasses then we headed to Melbourne Central where I dropped off my film before bidding her farewell. I walked into work and was greeted by "You're nice and early!" [I was an hour early.] Simon then followed me into the store room, obviously curious as to my lack of response. When I finally did speak, he was like "OH. You're sick." "Mmm. Hungover." It was actually a struggle, I felt like shit being out of the sunshine. So I went for a walk, but not before he'd given me the invitation for his 21st, which was pretty much the best thing I've ever seen in my life! He's hilarious, but so so so nerdy, as I was reminded of later on when I was sitting between he and Rob as they discussed sci-fi and I read Frankie. His toe operation? Ingrown toenail. Talk about gross! I was disgusted. He liked my t-shirt, and I didn't say anything but I was thinking to myself, the only reason I wore it is because I knew you'd like it. He improved my mood tenfold, no, thousandfold! I love Simon. I gave Rob the free cupcake. I don't know why I was compelled to do so, I just felt bad that nobody knew it was his birthday all those weeks ago. He was happy that I gave it to him, I think. After the shift, he said thanks quietly but I didn't reply, and I don't know, it was kind of a soft moment coming from an afternoon of earbashing from him. I smiled secretly when he looked away. The shift? Not as bad as we all had expected! I personally think we did very well, even though I was so hungover I barely did anything in the early stages. I had a dream the night before about cleaning the food cabinet, which was a tad odd. So that marked the first Rob-Tess-Eileen shift and I think we did well. Tess was very stressed out though. OH. Did I mention I ran into Van? Anyway, Tess and I were on our way to catch rhe tram and I mentioned that we didn't get to Taco Bill the night before, ao I suggested that we go and have dinner [and fishbowl margaritas, of course!] So we did that, and I had an enchilada =] Tess is indeed a lightweight, worse than I, because she was tipsy before we'd had a third of the drink we were sharing. We stayed there way past our welcome, two people on a six seater table, and then headed off to Starbucks for some crazy reason. THE BARISTA HAD NO IDEA WHAT A LONG MACCHIATO WAS! Freaking idiots. We laughed our heads off when he was like "Um, is that even a drink? Is it even in Australia?" and we eventually just said "WE'RE BARISTAS YOU IDIOT" and the flat white he gave Tess was crap, but oddly what she wanted in the first place. I had a shaken Iced Tea. After we got kicked out because they were closing, we sat on the grass at the State Library. It was good. So good, in fact, that we forgot about the time and had to run for the last tram. I don't know what was good, mostly just the peace and tranquility I suppose... even though it was Saturday night. I forgot it was Daylight Savings thus I was late for work. Whoops. Also: Ash, Matt and I were the only ones in the old shirt, we all forgot to wear the maroon one. Hahahahaha. 'Sif I even care about that job. tick tick BOOM xx
