Why can the FCC have rule over the First Amendment?
I understand they are under the rule of Congress or something, but why should something that is promised to us be hindered just because Congress has to be a dick and make the FCC regulate peoples speech? If they don't like what is said or broadcast, turn it off or walk away.
There is no need for the FCC if people could respect one anthers opinions without getting their panties in a bunch because they happen to disagree. such it up, be a man and deal with the fact that not ever one has to agree with you. are there that many people in the united states that are so egotistical that they cant let others speak their own opinions and therefor having to create a government commanded agency to shut them up.
How can the TV and the radio be controlled by the FCC but not the internet? At this point i get better internet then i do radio signal. So why is it that i can freely post this on here bashing a government agency without the FCC coming and knocking on my door demanding that i remove this or change my attitude? I give it another 5 years max before the FCC has control over the internet also.
I'm a big believer in freedom of speech. The Amendments in the Constitution are granted to us, they are ours and can not be taken away. In my opinion the FCC hinders the Fist Amendment by restricting what can and cannot be said on public air. Once my rights start to be bend and such to fit the need of egotistical white males i start to get pissed. I deserve to say what i want, when i want and about whatever i want on the air. They can such it up and listen and broaden their minds or turn it off. Its not too hard.
I enjoy this country, the ethnicity and the culture. But some of the people have to go and ruin it for everyone else by getting all twisted and annoyed thus creating unnecessary things like the FCC. However, i have a feeling that by the time in 30 or so, i will no longer be a citizen of The United States of America.
This is not a anti-Bush or liberal rant. This is a person who wants their rights protected. All of them.
I think America can do better.
I just feel like doing something totally and completely drastic to get my parents to pay attention to what they're doing before they stomp all over my life. Again.

I don't know much about the FCC, it's not really my area of expertise. But if Congress is being a dick, it's cos it's under control of Democrats.
If you could get more research on the subject, I would attempt to help you figure out what is going wrong with our current gov't policies.

We are not completely free on the Internet. Yes, we can say whatever we wish but everything we do, we leave a footprint. The gov't can track us if they wish. For example, the Patriot Act signed in by Pres. Bush. [It's only effective until 2/15. When we need to renew it or they're doing illegal things. Some people think it goes against the 4th Amendment-the right to privacy. Hope I helped!
