I haven't written in a while. I thought it was time for me to update this. Last weekend, was crazy but was mostly fun. At first, we started out going to Mellow Mushroom. Cate had told me to cordinate the invites for the school people. It was a suprise, so Lori didn't know about it. Mellow Mushroom's pizza is SO good. It was me, Calle, Ashlee, Leslie, Lori(duh), Sarah, Kelley, Sam, Meg, Brendan, Lauren, Kristen, and some of her drama friend. Then, we all went over to Sam's house. That was pretty fun. Drama. The next morning, I felt like I had a hangover from lack of sleep. I went to my brother's basketball game and that was about it. The week was pretty boring. On Thursday, we had a service day. I had to go to St. Martin Depores with Calle, MA, Krista, Kevin, Michael L, and Nick. We had to go to mass which wasn't bad. It was neat. I got to be with the first graders and the girls were all holding my hands and telling me where to sit once we got into the classroom. I got to read them two stories. I felt like a teacher. It was cool. I went to lunch with them, and they all were fighting telling me where I would sit. I went to recess with them and we played tag. I was it the entire time. Then, the byus came to pick us up to take us back to school. One girl started crying and they all were yelling at the fence telling me not to leave. They gave me a group hug and it was overwhelming. It was so sweet. It's amazing how little an impact you can make on kids just by going into their classroom. The experience was awesome. We lost both of our basketball games this week. We played Wilson Hall and lost by 1. We played Heathwood yesterday and did horrible. The forwards didn't play bad. The guards dribbled with their heads down, and wouldn't pass to the open people. Today, I got to sleep in which felt nice. Since there was ice and rain, I pretty much just stayed inside and didn't do much of anything. Tonight, Me, Calle, Ashlee, Leslie, Lori, Meg, Jamie, and Lauren went to Fridays and then to see Coach Carter. The movie wad pretty good. I thought one of the guys in the movie was cute. hehe. Well, tomorrow who knows what I will do. My brother has a basketball game, so I am guessing I will go to that. I promise to update more! ~Night!
