the clouds above opened up and let it out

my roommate is in a sorority. she had some formal dance going on this weekend. her dress was sparkly. last night i went to put on my coat because it is stubbornly chilly out still, and i'd rather have it than not. as i took it down off the peg on the outside of my door, i noticed all around me were little flurries of glitter. i guess shan hung her dress on my coat. so i shook it out, and as i looked down, the fine pieces of silver glitter floated down, catching the light for a mere moment before fading back into transparency. just little flickers, cascading down off the black wool i was wearing. it looked like the few seconds before you pass out, when those little points of light crawl their way across your scope of vision like worms weaving in and out of the world like it was a picture.

Often times, seeing spots of light before your eyes is an early sign for the onset of schizophrenia.
That or you pillow is too large and it's cutting off your circulation. Or you just see more beauty in the world than me.
I always dig how you right, dusty ho.

Tata, or something.
