~~WOOOOHOOOOOO!!~~ pwnage performance!! Here's the day: 9:40AM - Woke up 11:00AM - Started practicing, rewriting some of my notes, listening to the real versions 12:30PM - Brother came home, practiced with him 1:00PM - Started packing, started eating lunch 2:05PM - Finished packing, about to leave house (sound checks started at 2PM... and we "planned" to get there by then >.>) 3:10PM - Got there a while ago, finished unpacking, but then we found out that we were missing microphone stands and extension cables, so my mom and a band member drove to the member's and my house to get the stuff we needed, while the other 3 of us just sat around checking stuff 4:25PM - Finally got our stuff together, did a literally 30 sec sound check since the event already started and the MC didn't want us to create unneccesary disturbance. 5:25PM - Events started, some cool stuff, some lame stuff 5:50PM - Charlie came with Miju and Carol (after being 50min late =P), i "met" them, we didn't even get to talk since it was so loud 6:20PM - Carol left because she had to go, nothing else happened =P 6:50PM - Start of intermission, sat around and talked with Charlie and "talked" with Miju 7:20PM - START OF PERFORMANCE!! it pwned!! Everything went off without a hitch, everything was smooth, everything went well, we got lots of cheering, we got the crowd to sing along for the choruses. Gotta love the crowd control power that performers get ^^. Besides the small off-beat mistakes and messing up some notes, there weren't ANY problems except for the microphone not being loud enough (the drums being too loud a part of that ^^;;) and my major screwup during "Time is Running Out". This major screwup is because i play by listening to what the singer is singing, and since I couldn't hear the singer, i thought it changed to the next part when it didn't =P... but after changing beats, and hearing that the singer was still ont he previous part, I did a smooth transition back to the previous beat XD.... so unless you knew how the song went and you didn't it notice it being ackward, you wouldn't notice that that was a mistake ^^... myg0t, you just have to love the sound and power of playing unsilenced drums =D=D It felt so good to play a drum set that isn't muted, so powerful! i beat i drowned everyone out and made the ppl in front of me deaf XDXD the sound of an unsilenced drum is so crisp... so sharp... so loud =D wtvr, it was so much fun ^^ 7:40PM - Starting packing, waved Charlie and Miju goodbye since they had to go a while ago and were just delaying to see me play =p 9:30PM - Finally finished packing, drove home, and that's where we are now ^^ Ahh.... too bad I didn't get to talk to Carol and Miju properly.... i sure something would come out of it =P.... crap, I wanted to say something about them, but when i get to the part about actually writing, i forget... i'm getting old =( Charlie was trying to convince me go to the afterparties for my graduation, i dunno, i might go, i might not =P (and i just KNOW he's going to leave a comment after reading this to tell me to go XD) And this entry comes to an end.... I wanted to say so much more, but I'm forgetting so much nowawdays >.>
