WOO HOO. this country is awesome. so i sent an email out to some of my friends with this address and mel wrote me a comment its awesome cuz i now know that there are actually montrealers reading this so thats pretty neat. Ok so lately ill update u guys. we have 5 "blocks" a day (ie class periods) and most ppl take 3 or 4 classes so u have generally 1-2 spares a day. classes are 80 minutes long and arent too bad. we have every class every day. im taking 4 this semester (english, calc, data and international business) and yeah there is quite a fair bit of work cuz english gives work every nite and obviously the two math classes do to, but business doesnt have any hmwk so far, we have an ISU tho (independent study unit) which will be a bitch. next semester tho, when spring comes, im taking law, philosophy and physics, and only physics gives hmwk cuz philosophy and law are both taught by the same business teacher (Dr. Zamaros, aka Dr. Z) so yeah that'll be awesome, except for the fact that his classes are mad boring sometimes lol. ive only slept in 3 of them and played chess during a bunch. thats another cool thing here, i can use my laptop in almost all classes, there's just no wireless internet working, its only in the student center which is another building. its really cool going to school with only 90 ppl. nobody's a dick, everyone's nice to each other, its soo sweet. we all go drinking and partying together and like we go down to bars after school and all kindsa fun stuff. the pension (house we live in) is ok. its not too small, but it doesnt have internet. the man there has 413 DVDs and the woman is like a part-time nurse cuz she only works wednesday and thursdays. the food is blah. we've eaten meat at home like 3 times so far cuz lunch is the main meal here, which kinda sucks. lots of patatoes and cheeze. its ok. for breakfast we have like a small yogurt and a granola bar. kinda weak. everything here is sooo expensive. a big mac trio is 12 swiss franks (SFr.) but beer is only like 3SFr. so thats kinda neat. we've marked our turf on quite a number of places already and when we're a group as big as us u get noticed :D today is my roomy's birthday so we're taking him out tonite and tomorrow night, but tomorrow is the beginning of "La fete des Vendanges" which is this HUGE party that has been described to us as Mardi gras times 10! so that'll be fun. its like a drunken wine festival. ppl come in from all over to go to it, but also a lot of locals leave cuz its kinda really loud and slightly dangerous. the school told us that the girls should never walk alone and that they shouldnt show too much skin as well as no purses. we;re all meant to wear cloths that we dont mind getting a *little* bit dirty. it'll be fun. Anywho i miss ppl from montreal and thanks everyone for the letters you've written me. im gonna copy them from hotmail.com to a word document and try to write u all back while im bored at home without internet. btw we're trying to get internet working at our house, we hafta pay like rediculous amounts of money tho. too bad, it'll be worth it...its all for you ppl!
