When I went to class and work today, it was super-springy out, 75 degrees and sunny. My boss was in a bad mood today and my handheld broke so I had to write a report, and being in the office when she's on the warpath is not fun.
I spent the afternoon doing laundry (boring, I know), packing for when my mom moves my stuff home on Saturday, watching "The Wedding Singer", and just generally cleaning out my dorm room. I know I still have about three weeks but I can live on the bare essentials, and some stuff is from winter so I don't need it anyway.
Kimberly was going to go to Wal-Mart tonight and would have taken me with her, but she might not be going now. I was going to get some cake mix and frosting, to make Pastor Elaine a good-bye cake and maybe get a card that all of Crossroads could sign. I still can't believe she's leaving. I mean, I didn't really make Crossroads a priority until recently, but it was the first organization I joined on campus, and honestly they've been there for me. I belong there. And I know Pastor Elaine was a huge part of that. I don't know what Crossroads will do without her. :(
I had MSO tonight, yay! I love that orchestra. And today at my lesson, Dr. Rodgers gave me the go-ahead for WAMSO, so I am almost sure I will enter the competition now. I'm excited to start practicing for it; I'm sure I'll get a little nervous too as the deadline approaches.
So I kind of made a new friend today! He's the pizza guy. Slightly crazy, tall dark and boyishly cute. A few weeks ago, he was working in the Italian place in the basement of the CSU and he gave me a free extra slice of pizza. But I keep seeing this pizza one around, and he always says hi, and today I saw him and finally just asked what his name was. It's Chris.
During break at MSO, Mark came up and talked to me. Maybe we've finally gotten past this whole "Rachel had a crush on me so I can't talk to her" thing. Come on. That was almost four years ago. At least tonight's conversation was only mildly awkward.
