Summer Solstice Celebration
So, what did YOU do Saturday?!
I attended the Summer Solstice Celebration and had the TIME OF MY LIFE!
The AMAZING Leukemia & Lymphoma Society held its 19th annual Summer Solstice Celebration at 6 p.m. Saturday at Hershey Lodge and Convention Center.
A delishous gourmet dinner was served and live and silent auctions was held as well. They auctioned off $10,000 mink coats, rolex watches, and a huge selection of other magnificent items. Oh and The Third Stream played music for dancing.
The theme of Summer Solstice draws on the symbolism of the longest day of the year to push back the darkness of leukemia, lymphoma and other blood-related cancers.
A ticket was $100 and Black Tie was Optional. Most of the men wore their tux.
It was an absolutely marvelous evening filled with inspirational lawyers, docter, and other men and women who have proved that if you are dedicated and work hard, you recieve repect. I met several, several new friends and I must agree this was The Premiere Black Tie event in Harrisburg.
It was simply the best being surrounded and being commlimented by such amazing, well put-together people that have made a name for themselves.
