A Harsh Reversal

This year my christmas was good. I got a few things but they were the things I wanted. I gave gifts to everybody for once. I even took my time to draw my dad a picture of his father to make him feel somewhat better since his xmas spirit was shattered a few weeks ago. And yet as my holiday was grand and cozy, not everyone else's was. I read bulletin after bulletin on myspace about how bad christmas has been for them. Dogs being run over the night before, people being sick with the flu and having no family around to comfort them, people with fighting families who kill christmas by not letting eachother know they care, people being kicked out of their houses while we're in the middle of winter, and unfulfilled wishes of snow. Why does god make things nice for the people who don't deserve it while the people I call my friends are ignored or maybe targeted? To hear that not everyone can be happy for only ONE DAY of the year just proves that all the purity and fond memories of christmas being special are over. We have evolved past happy holidays.
