Finally!!

Okay, so SitD, although I love it so very much, has been a booger lately....I promise, I haven't been neglecting y'all!! Goodness, it's been so long since I've written that I don't know where to start. Gerd got home Tuesday, I gave him his presents, and he loved them...I gave him a Shiner Bock beer pail (that's his favorite beer) and inside it was an apron with a Texas flag on it that says "Whoever said Life is Good must have been in Texas", and 2 shot glasses. I made him a fleece blanket that's blue on one side and a cute Texas print on the other side. He seemed to really like that, he made me show his Momma and everything. We went to his favorite restaurant with his parents, it was really nice. He announced that with this new job, the radius he has to stay in was expanded to 75 miles! So he'll move to Houston for like 6 months, then he'll be able to live in his hometown! He'll be close to me again, yay! After that, we spent quality time together at his place, but I'll spare you those details...*cough 13 cough* Wednesday he took me to Victoria so I could take a junky Govt. exam, we went out to eat, then went dancing. We had a flat tire when we came out of the club, so it put us home really late. I don't think we saw each other Thursday...Friday he came to my house and we watched The Incredibles. Saturday we went tubing on the Guadalupe, it was awesome! "That river run was a whole lot of fun, especially when you with the ones who bring so much laughter and good times", Creager says it just right. He was playing at the Poteet Strawberry Festival that night, so we got a hotel in San Antonio and headed out for the show. Awesome! Sunday we went to visit his friend who's recovering from a major surgery...he and his wife are so nice, it was a great visit. On the way home, Gerd ambushed me...we went to meet his grandma!! I guess it's only fair, he had to meet all 3 of my grandparents by accident within 2 days. She was so wonderfully sweet! She was a teacher for years, and talked my ear off when she was told that I am pursuing my teaching degree. Monday I had class, so I didn't see my honey....he sat around drinking with his roomie all night :P Tuesday night we went to his parents' house, his Momma made a wonderful dinner. It was comforting to find that she cooks like I do--smoke everywhere! LOL, it made me feel good. After supper, the 4 of us watched Finding Nemo...it was a wonderful night. I love his parents, they're such kind, hardworking people. Wednesday night I went to Gerd's, we ate pizza and watched Secondhand Lions, it's such a cute movie. Thursday we went out to eat, then watched my favorite t.v. show, then went dancing. We ran into some old friends of mine, it made for a really fun night. Friday we went to a cookoff that his cousin was involved in...we talked and drank all night, I met a few of his cousins and their wives, everyone was so nice. Saturday we went shopping at Katy Mills again, I spent a ton of money at the western store! I bought some adorable black boots with rhinestones on them, a black belt with silver hearts, a straw "partygirl" hat ;), a bluejean skirt, and 2 really cute shirts. When the stores closed, I changed into my new boots and we went dancing. Well, first Gerd sang karaoke, then we went dancin. I love to hear him sing, his voice makes me melt. I told him that's how he won me over on our first date ;) And dancin with him is the best, he's taught me so much. I'm still learning the lifts, but I've got the spinnin pretty much down! Sunday was a benefit concert in my old hometown, Roger Creager was there! He did an acoustic set, just awesome. We also saw Gary P. Nunn, Larry Joe Taylor, and a guy from HoneyBrowne. There were several others there too, but those were the big'uns. Fun fun fun! Last night (monday) Gerd picked me up from work, then we went to my favorite mexican restaurant for lunch. After that, we sat around and watched my little bro play guitar. Gerd sang along with him, it was cool. They seem to get along really well. Gerd took me to class, then we met up with an old friend of mine. We sat in a restaurant for a couple of hours just talkin and carrying on. It was good to see Ryan, and they got along so well. On the way home, we had to stop about halfway for gas, and I drove the rest of the way...Gerd taught me to drive Standard!!! I didn't do too badly either, I'm so proud of me! We got to my house about 12:30, and he left right after 2 a.m....he was visiting with my Momma. I love how they get along so well. He picked me up from work again today, we grabbed Sonic food, then headed over here. I'm at his apartment now, he's making meatballs. We'll spend tomorrow together after I get off work, and that'll be our last time to see each other for 2 weeks. I don't know how much time we'll have together after he gets home, we're not sure when he'll start the new job. I'm thankful though, we've had 3 extra days together this time. I don't think it'll ever feel like enough. I have so much more to write, but it'll have to wait for later. I'm off to attack my honey! I've missed y'all! Love y'all!!!!!

I get tired listening to all the things that you have done! In the two weeks that you have been gone, Bob and I thought about going out to dinner one night, but then we got take and bake pizza for home instead! :P
I'm with Brooke--JD and I barely go out. Because, you know, we're poor. Oh, yeah, and we have a babeh [and that's a lot of getting ready and such].

But I'm glad you're having fun. He seems like a freakin awesome guy.

Well baby, I had to let you go tonight, God willing, I'll come back with all my appendages still attached, and I can begin a new career to take us into the future, filled with good times and lots of laughter. And we'll make that 13 look little.....I promise! I love you babe.
