Stuff

It's only lunchtime, and I'm already exhausted. I had to play nurse today, one of my toddlers got a pretty nasty headwound. Taz (you can imagine why we call him that) decided he was going to throw everything he touched. When I told him he was going to time-out if he did it again, I guess he decided to go out with a bang...he threw a little metal toy tractor trailer at the back of Wild Man's head (yes, I have a name for each of my kids). So Wild Man started crying and holding the back of his head. I wrapped him in his towel (because it's waterday) and RAN inside to see how big the wound was. Gushing blood. After I got the bleeding to stop, it didn't look too bad. His mom showed up then to take him to the dentist, perfect timing. Last night, he took a head dive and pushed one of his teeth up into the gum. Poor Wild Man. He's tough though, he hardly cried when his head got partially split open. It bothered me more than him! Yesterday I had to send Miss Piggy home with head lice. Eck, another outbreak. This job's really wearing me out, I'm in pain every day, I'm stressing more than I should. It's time for a career change. I'm not going to say what yet, I don't wanna jinx it, but I have a meeting Friday, so I'll let y'all know after I find out what's up. Brandy came back today from her vacation, and brought a few pictures from the party at Inez. Here's Brandy, me, Gerd's best friend Steve, and Gerd toasting to good times: too cute!

Looks like a good time you all had.

I can sympathize with your feelings of being burnt out, because when I was a camp counselor several years back, it seems like similar stuff always happened to my kids. One day we had one kid throw a rock at another kids head. And by rock, I mean like the size of a tennis ball. And, I of course, had to nurse the wound. That stuff burns ya out. It burnt me out more in two months than in 2+ yrs at my current job
I have been working with kids and adolescents in psychiatric crisis for almost 5 years. I completely understand that burnt out feeling.

Cute picture by the way....

Hang in there...

That looks like more then a toasting lass in Gerd's hand!
