"I won't martyr you."

Monday my brother picked me up and we went out to a restaurant. It was a lot of fun and I had a lot of laughs. I spent the night with him and my grandmother baked me a cake and gave me a card with money. The next morning, my uncle made me breakfast, gave me a card with money, and some kinda neat little thing. I came back Tuesday. The last couple of days I've been at home and thinking about a lot of things. Just things. I've watched some pretty good movies the past couple days, as well. I watched one lastnight that I think, aside from Columbine, Marilyn Manson could have gotten his inspiration from for Holy Wood. It was a 1997 (Most likely made-for-TV) movie about this guy that took hostages on a talk show because his daughter commited suicide due to things said on the show (This reminded me of a similar situation involving Jenny Jones). Later you realize that the talk show host doesn't really care about the audience, opposed to what she led him and others to believe. And it's a funny ending because through out the show it's all about saving her life when she's about to get shot on live television in front of 70 million viewers and by the time that it's about to go off, she talks about how she just wanted the attention at her to protect her audience, which is clearly a lie. It then cuts to the baseball game that was supposed to be playing in place of the broadcasted hostage. And everything was okay as the News lady happily said the game would continue as it should. I don't really know why I gave this...summary...of it. But it interested me because of how life really is like that. And I'm sure many of you have no clue of what I'm talking about. Just watch the movie, Murder Live. That ties in, to me, with something that just happened today. Read about it over the Internet. It should be right in front of your face, especially if you visit MSN.
