I knew you would. don't forget to check the coolant in the morning when the engine is cold. anyway there is another chapter in the adventures of dom....I participated in a ceremony rich with christianity and the old ways mixed together. my fiance told me that she had never seen this ritual before although she was the one to call for the "healer" and she is familiar with this sort of thing, yet she is a devout catholic. I was told that i am probably this only white man to take part in this ritual in this area if anywhere. so here is the family, all in my room, as i am laying in bed. i am really in a lot of pain at this time. pain killers don't help. the healer makes her way into the room. some helpers are carrying a large pot smoldering with red hot ambers. the pot is laid down in the middle of the room. the healer fans it and it glows. she carefully lays down something on it. i ask presile what it is. she says it is to determine if there are evil spirits at play here... later it is determined that there are evil spirits at play! apparently when i took a walk the day prior i did not stop and ask the spirits for permission to pass before crossing a small bridge.. presile said she never goes there....thanks for the warning. so here i am laid out in pain like you wouldn't believe it and i am in the middle of what seems to be "the serpent and the rainbow" well, i'd really like to tell you everything that went on, but i'm not supposed to.... the process wwas to decide if there were evil spirits at plsy, the draw them out. also there were herbal medecones mixed and applied to various paerts of my body as my name was called out. to tell you the truth, i fell better today, in fact wel enough to make it to the dentist and have the remaining of my looose teeth pulled. in another 10 days i should be going back for an adjustment. right now, i have to waitr for my gums to heal. so much for that. Presile is everything I had hoped for and more. she is very giving and loving. she will make me happy, as i shall make her happy. the food is unbelievable here. fresh fish everyday, still alive in the morning before being cooked. basic breakfast is fish and rice with some meat. Her mother looks at me with a questioning eye as she and i are of the same age...but it looks like it's all good. I wish you could be here. I'm doing this offline as it's very difficult to connect to the internet here....presile and i have decided to make a cyber cafe business here as her father hasw agread to let us make use of part of the house, it is very big...three stories and there is another house attached, the main house. we don't have enough money for that yet so we'll come back here and save money so that we can return and do that at a later time....we'll need about $10,000.00 capital. we'll do that next to the sari store that her sister runs, ....looks like a family affair. that's why asians are so successfull, they stick together. They have accepted me. I'm very happy. they have accepted you too, and would love to meet you also. anyway, i'm drenched right now...it's hot here. i'm going to make a cup of coffee.
