my mom was in an almost fatal car accident a few years ago. she wasn't driving, either. she was the passenger in a cab- the driver decided to run a redlight. bad idea. they were broadsided by a huge truck, my mom lost consciousness upon impact, she had to be airlifted to the hospital. after months of therapy and lots of broken bones, she decided to sue the cab company for hiring someone so stupid as to run a redlight. well, she won! now i can get a new car.
