Me and Chris spent the whole class talking. "Hey do you want to continue our conversation at lunch." He asked. "Sure." I answered. We walked together to the feild. We talked about peircings and tatoos. I showed him my tounge ring and he showed me his tatoo. It was a heart covered with chains and a lock on it. "When i get married I'm going to find a girl who will get the tatoo of a key. Then she will have the key to my heart." I smiled at him. "I know it's kind of corny." He sayed blushing. "It's not corny at all, it's really original, You have a strong sense of creativity." I said taking a bite of my apple. Healthy eating, another thing I had to change about being a mother. I went through the rest of the day. Depressed that I was here again, but happy that I made at least one friend. After school I met Chris outside. "Do you need a ride home?" He asked. "No, Robbie's picking me up, and that's him there." I said as i saw him pull up in his beamer. I loved that car. "Bye Chris." I yelled back as I ran over to Robbie. He was leaning up against his car, looking rather hot. Chris just stared as he walked to his car. Robbie maved at him and he waved back. "New Friend?" Robbie laughed. I nodded and pushed up against him, and kissed him. We drove home talking about our first days. It sounded like Robbie had a fun day. We got home and Janine was playing with Daphnee in the living room. "How's my little sugarplum!" I said as I picked her up. I kissed her nose and suddenly felt sick. "Take her hun." Is all I had to say as I ran to the bathroom.
Robbie and I arrived at my school, Miami Central High. I let out a sigh as I starred at all the girls giving each other hugs and laughing. The only reason I was back here was because I took off a year because I had Daphnee. I was going to be a loner this year, there was no Anna, no Robbie, no Keera, no anyone. They were all off to university while I was stuck here. I looked over at Robbie, "I don't want to go." I said feeling like crying. "You have to Hil..." He gave me a sympathetic smile and a kiss on the cheek. I smiled and got out of the car. "And tell all those guys that you have a husband." laughed Robbie before he drove away. I laughed and waved good-bye. A whole new year, a whole new life, I thought to myself as I walked through the front corridor. I pulled out my schedule and walked to my first class. "Miss Faro, welcome back." said Mr. Francis as I walked into my first period biology class. I starred at the young teacher with a slight smile on my face. Mr. Francis was always my favourite teacher. I sat in the back corner and put my feet up on the table. "Hey is this seat taken?" I heard from beside me. I looked over and saw a black haired, lip ringed guy standing next to me. "No." I said as I removed my feet from the desks surface. "I'm Chris by the way, you seemed like the only normal person in here, so you looked like the right person to sit beside." I laughed as I starred around the room, he was right. Everyone in the room was a trust fund prep who only cared about getting a new beamer every year, and then there was me, married and had a kid. "I'm Hilary, or Hil if you like." I replied and he smiled. We started up a normal conversation, what kind of music you listen too? How was your summer? Normal stuff. "Holy shit!" said Chris as he picked up my hand starring at the large wedding ring. A large square diamond with a platinum band, I loved it. "Who gave you the bling?" He asked acting so white it was funny. "It's my wedding ring." Chris starred at me. "You're married? How old are you?" he asked chuckling. "Yeah, I am. I'm eighteen." He starred at me wide eyed. "Did you fail last year? Or is there something you have left out about yourself because I'm only seventeen" He asked. "Oh you caught me," I said. "I dropped out for most of last year to have my daughter, Daphnee, and now Robbie, my husband, is making me graduate high school." I explained as I pulled out my wallet and showed Chris a picture of me Robbie and Daphnee last summer by the pool. Chris smiled at me, "Well, you don't meet a person like you every day."
I was completely depressed when the last week of summer was over. I lay in my bed letting out many different groans as my alarm rang promptly at 6:30. Daphnee was already screaming from her crib and Robbie just lay beside me chuckling at my disgust for mornings. "Here we go again..." Robbie got out of bed and picked up Daphnee and took her downstairs. I dragged my tired body out of bed and into the shower. The warm water hit my skin and I let out a small smile... the only good thing about mornings, was the shower. I washed my hair and hopped out. I almost fell back in when I saw Robbie standing at the sink brushing his teeth. "Need this?" laughed Robbie as he handed me my large fluffy towel. I ran into my bedroom and pulled on some black pants and a white Hollister t-shirt. I was in no mood to try that morning. I walked into the bathroom, brushed my hair not even bother to dry it, and brushed my teeth. Looking in the mirror I remembered what I looked like a year ago. Black liner covered eyes and red lips with gloss and short black hair with whatever colour streaks Anna decided to put in my hair. All I saw when I looked in the mirror; was my natural colour hair since the dye had grew out and a natural face. After I had Daphnee I didn't wear much makeup. I was never in the mood to put it on or there was no point since I wasn't going to be going out. I got an urge to put something on so I grabbed my eyeliner and gloss and applied them with little care. I smiled at my reflection and walked downstairs. Robbie was at the table eating his usual, coco puffs with chocolate milk and orange juice, Daphnee was in her high chair throwing her Cheerios everywhere, Janine was reading the paper, Anna was cutting up a piece of fabric probably for another outfit she was making and Keera I suspected was still in bed. Robbie's 13 year old sister Alexia walked down from her room looking like a little whore as usual and Robbie's mom had already left for work. After Robbie's dad left, Alexia and Robbie's mom moved in with us. Alexia and I did not get along very well. "Hil, it's eight we should get going." said Robbie as he picked up his back pack from the floor. "You have a fun time with Aunty Janine while I'm at school." I said in my babyish voice as I played with Daphnee's fingers. Alexia looked at me like I was crazy and Janine flashed me a smile. "Bye guys." Robbie and I said in sync as we walked out the door.
Daphnee's loud cry echoed through Robbie and mines room. I groaned and started to drag myself out of bed when Robbie placed his hand on my shoulder, "I'll get her." He whispered and hopped off our bed and over to our 1 year old daughter's crib. He lifted her up and rocked her until she fell asleep. Lately, neither of us had been able to get sleep. After Robbie placed her back in the crib he walked over and climbed back into bed, he put his arms around me and fell back asleep. I just sat there savoring the moment. My eyes shifted over to my clock which read 4:26. I knew I wouldn't be able to fall back asleep. So, I just sat there, thinking about the year so far. Robbie would be starting his second year at UOF in a week and I would be going back to finish my fourth year of high school. I sighed at the fact and attempting to fall back asleep. I was awoken the next morning to the sound of Daphnee screaming 'dada' from her crib. That was the only word she knew how to say. Robbie climbed out of bed and picked her up. At the sight of his feet passing her bed, our little dog Tilly raced out of her little tent and onto our bed. Robbie lay back down on the bed with Daphnee in is arms and I scooped Tilly up. There we were, the perfect family. I felt that way, and so did Robbie. "I love you Hilary..." He whispered into my ear. I smiled and dropped my head on his shoulder. At that moment I thought my entire life was going to be perfect, but, I wasn't aware that the next year was going to be completely different...

Bridgett and Jake stood looking into the black coffin which held their sister and loved one. Just looking at Hadyn's thick black hair made Bridgett shudder. She fell crying into Jake's arms and they stood their, crying. Hadyn and Bridgett's mother stood behind them trying hard to cover the bruises on her body. Tears ran down her cheeks at the site of her lost daughter. Harry stood holding his arm too tightly around her shoulder. That night Bridgett broke through her window and ran. She ran to the one place she knew she would feel safe. She ran to Jake's house hoping he would let her in. Jake got up from his bed to the sound of a loud bang on his front door. He hobbled to his door and opened it only to see Bridgett standing there dripping wet from the rain. Hard months passed as the trial went on. Harry ended up being charged with the rape of Bridgett and Hadyn and their mother, he was also convicted for making Hadyn kill herself. Finally Bridgett and her mother could live a normal life...without Hadyn.
Today was the anniversary of Hadyn's death. Bridgett, Jake and her mother all stood staring at the stone. Jake left a single rose and Bridgett broke down into tears...
There standing in front of the two girls, was their step father with an angry look across his face. Bridgett started to say something but Harry whipped his hand across her face, knocking her to the ground. Hadyn was petrified. She slowly bent down to help her sister but Harry kicked her knee, also knocking her down. Harry grabbed a huge chunk of each girl's hair in one of his hands and started to drag them out of the club. Jake turned around on the balcony only to see an empty space on the dance floor where Hadyn and Bridgett were dancing. He dashed to the dance floor and started frantically searching for either of the girls, but no luck. Jake and two of his friends ran out of the club calling there names but all they saw was a car speeding out of the parking lot. In the back seat of the car lay Bridgett nurturing Hadyn's blood covered skull. When they arrived back at their house, the girls were dragged to their rooms and locked in until the next day when Harry came in. As usual, he spent hours on end violating each girl while their mother screamed from the other side of the locked door. That night at around 10, Harry finally left Hadyn, lying unclothed sobbing in pain on her bed. She couldn’t take it anymore. She pulled on a long blink 182 t-shirt and walked over to her computer. Her sobs turned into uncontrollable crying as she typed the first words. "Bridgett, I'm sorry for leaving you like this..."
That night Jake ran over to Hadyn's house hping that she was there. He ran to the side of the house to her bedroom window. After tapping about 3 times and there was no answer, he did what he had to do. He pushed open her window and pushed himself through. The room was dark making her computer screensaver the only light source in the room. Jake tiptoed over to her light and flicked it on. He fell to his floor at the sight of Hadyn lieing dead on her floor. Blood spilled over on to the floor from her stomach. Jake frantically turned her over to see if he could feel her heart, but all he could feel was blood seeping through her shirt on his hands. An empty pill bottle and a razor sat in her hands. The words you killed me carved across her stomach didn't stop bleeding. Jake dropped his body around Hadyn and cried. He had lost her...
The next day, Bridgett gave Hadyn a drive to school. "How do you like getting that done to you constantly?" asked Hadyn hoping to get a response out of her sister. "Experience I guess..." said Bridgett playing with her blonde hair, occasionally glancing back and forth at her sister while driving. They arrived at the school and Hadyn had a burning question. "Why are you suddenly being so nice to me?" "We both need someone to talk to Hadyn, and since we can't really tell anyone else about this we have to depend on each other. Hadyn, I realized what I was doing to you. I was killing you and I couldn't stand it. It had to change. I guess I need a sister just as much as you do right now." said Bridgett smiling at Hadyn. "Thanks." "No problem, here let me cover that up." said Bridgett taking her concealer out of her purse. She smudged a little over Hadyn's bruised cheek and then fixed her own face. They got out of the car and Hadyn found Jake. They basically spent all day together. After school Josh asked Hadyn if she could come over and possibly sleep over that night. Hadyn agreed and left a note in Bridgett's locker to cover for her. "Where are your parents. I never here you talk about them and I have never seen them." asked Hadyn as she walked through Jake's front door. "I don't know, I have not seen them in years. I live here with my brother but he is only here on weekends because he goes to university." Immediately after they got in the door they threw off their bags and ran to Jake's room. Josh slid his hands up Haydn's shirt feeling the cuts she made the night before. "Wha-..." "Don't worry about it." said Hadyn attempting to get Jake to continue; and he did. She pulled off his shirt and ran her fingers down his chest. "Hey! That tickles." chuckled Jake. "Do you want to go to Lock's tonight?" Lock's was a club for high school kids. It wasn't Hadyn’s type of place but since Jake was going it wouldn't be that bad. They left his house at seven and walked about two blocks until they reached the club. It was filled with lights and some shitty sounding music that made Hadyn's ears burn. Jake noticed some of his friends and pulled Hadyn over with him. She recognized some of the music that was playing because she had heard it blaring from Bridgett's room at one point or another. "Hey you!" Hadyn spun around seeing Bridgett standing behind her. "Come one and dance you know how!" said Bridgett taking a hold of her sister's hand. Hadyn starred at Bridgett giving her a 'you didn't need to say that' look. "You can dance?" asked Jake with a bright look on his face. Bridgett and Hadyn nodded at the same time. "Come on Hadyn. Let's show 'em!" Bridgett pulled Hadyn down the stairs to the dance floor. "Hadyn c'mon you know you want to!" screamed Bridgett as she moved her hips to the beat of the music. Hadyn looked up and saw Jake looking at her smiling the widest smile ever. That did it. Hadyn and her sister were ruling the dance floor. All of Bridgett's and Josh's friends were shocked at the fact that Hadyn could dance that well. They were having a great time, that is until they saw someone they didn't want to see...
Hadyn burst through the door just after 6:30, right when her family was sitting down for supper. "Where the fuck were you?" yelled Harry practically charging towards Hadyn. "Uh..." Hadyn searched her mind trying to think of a reasonable excuse. "Oh, Harry, She was just out with some friends. She told me to tell you after school but I guessed it slipped my mind. My bad!" said Bridgett from her chair at the table. Hadyn went wide eyed and walked to her room in confusion. Then she was pulled into the bathroom. "Mom and Harry are going to ask you if I had any guys in the house. You have to help me and say no!" Hadyn turned around and started to walk out of the bathroom. "I'll cover for you and Jake." said Bridgett stopping Hadyn dead in her tracks. Hadyn let out a sigh, "Deal." They walked out of the bathroom and resumed dinner. Hadyn covered for Bridgett just like they planned. That night Harry took the abuse to the next level. You could hear Hadyn and Bridgett's screams for miles. That night Hadyn just lay on her bed, listening to the sounds of Harry making Bridgett scream. In, pain she slipped her pj's on and grabbed her razor for her nightly ritual. Only tonight she did something different. She lifted up her shirt and placed the sharp blade on her un-marked stomach, carving the words 'save me' into her flesh. She didn't flinch, she didn't cry, she didn't make a sound as she watched the blood trickle down her stomach smudging the perfect little letters cut neatly under her rib cage. Not one tear fell from her eyes that night.
Jake got out of the shower and grabbed two towels. He wrapped one around his waist and one around Hadyn's shaky little body. Jake laughed and picked up her clothes. "I'll throw these in the dryer." He came back with a t-shirt and flannel bottoms. Hadyn slipped them on and squeezed all the water out of her hair. She walked to his room and Jake was lying shirtless on his bed. That's when Hadyn realized what a nice body he had. Hadyn lied down beside him and he wrapped his arms around her. "Are you al-..." Jake"s voice started to trail off as he saw Hadyn"s arms. He didn't know how bad her addiction really was until he saw the cuts. He picked up her arm and Hadyn pulled back, got off his bed and headed for the door. "Hadyn... Why?" "Reasons" "Like what?" "Just reasons okay?" "Hadyn please just tell me!" The caring voice that Jake had was pulling her towards him. "You really want to know. Well, every night my stepfather beats me. My sister wants me dead. My mom thinks I'm a prostitute. I can't eat or sleep. I have nothing going for me at all." Hadyn broke down. She needed a knife or something that would release her pain. Jake jumped off the bed and ran over to Hadyn and picked her up. He lay her down on the bed and calmed her down. They must have both fallen asleep because when Hadyn looked at the clock it was almost six. When she saw the time she flew out of Jake's arms. "Whoa what's wrong?" Jake asked half asleep. Hadyn pointed at the clock and Jake ran and retrieved her clothes. She changed right there. "I am here if you ever need something." Jake explained as he handed Hadyn her school bag. Hadyn smiled, kissed him and ran home.
Jake left at about 4 am. Hadyn smiled for the first time in weeks. She tried to fall back sleep but her mind was running like mad. On the way home from Hadyn's, all Jake could think of, was Hadyn. He had kissed a lot of girls before but when he kissed her, he felt something different. The next day, Hadyn stumbled into music half way through class and Jake just smiled and laughed. All class the exchanged glances and giggled. When class ended Hadyn set the guitar down and Jake was already there with his arms around her. She kissed him and he felt the felling which he loved. They walked out of class hand in hand, Laughing as they passed the glaring eyes. Neither of them noticed as Bridgett passed with her jaw hitting the floor in shock. Hadyn didn't notice anything else except Jake. At lunch, one more chair at Hadyn's table was taken. Hadyn never stopped smiling. It was probably the first time the eyes had saw her smile, but it was wiped off her face pretty quickly. Bridgett and he ladies in waiting had a portable c.d. player in the cafeteria and they were dancing. They were also one step away from tearing their clothes off. Hadyn knew how to dance; really well too. The only person who knew she could was Bridgett. "Do you want to go?" asked Jake with a disgusted look on his face as he starred at Bridgett giving a senior a show. They walked off the campus and Jake asked a very, unexpected question. "Do you want to skip the rest of the day and come to my place?" Hadyn hesitated for a second but agreed. The walk was silent but when they got there Jake unlocked the door and showed Hadyn to his room. "Is it alright if I take a shower?" He asked. "Sure, I mean whatever you want. It's your house!" giggled Hadyn. Jake walked into the bathroom and Hadyn had an urge to follow him. She waited until she heard the water on. The she slid into the bathroom as quietly as she could but Jake heard her and pulled her into the shower fully dressed. She felt the hot water seep through her clothes. They kissed and Hadyn felt Jakes hands go up her shirt. She put her hands over her head and Jake pulled off her shirt. If it was anyone else, Hadyn would have pulled back but instead she just stood there and laughed. Jake moved down and undid her belt. "Are you sure you want to do this?" He asked staring up at her. "Yah..." "Are you sure?" Hadyn just nodded her head and he pulled her pants off. They just stood there starring at each other. That is until Hadyn grabbed him and kissed him. She was shaking, she knew he knew what he was doing, but she had no clue.
"Hadyn wait!" yelled her mother. Hadyn ignored her, but her mother grabbed her arm and smacked her turning her head just enough to reveal the ring in Hadyn's eyebrow. "What the fuck did you do?" screamed her mother, putting her hands on Hadyn's cheeks. "None of your damn business!" usually Hadyn would stay quiet but there was no way she was in the mood to do that today. "So that's where you were last night!" "Yep and I fucked the guy who did it!" Hadyn screamed to her mother just to pull her strings even more. "You didn't!" gasped her Mother. "You are right, I didn't because unlike little miss blondie over there, I'm not a slut." Hadyn screamed in rage. She ran to her room where she grabbed her razor and sliced one long cut down her arm, re-opening the scars that went across her arms. The blood flooded her arm and Hadyn didn't wipe it away. After five minutes of watching the blood, she passed out. Hours Later she awoke to the sound of her parents yelling at Bridgett. For one they weren't yelling at Hadyn. The blood soaked dry and it seemed like hours until the yelling stopped. Hadyn couldn't sleep so she starred at the ceiling thinking about what she said to Jake. At around 2 am Hadyn her a quiet tap at her window. "Hadyn open up!" she looked over and Jake was standing there. Hadyn dragged herself off the bed and shuffled to the window and let Jake in. Hadyn wanted to say everything. "I'm sorry for what I said. I didn't re-" "Shh..." Jake cut her off, he moved closer and put his hands on her waist. Hadyn put her arms around his neck and their lips touched. Hadyn felt her heart racing. They parted and Hadyn lied down on her bed and Jake followed. She knew that it was weird to do this but it felt so good. Her hands felt the back of Jake's head and pulled him closer. They kept kissing only stopping about every 3 minutes. Hadyn had no clue what she was doing but she just went on with it. Jake held her wrists above her head and Hadyn cried out in pain. Hadyn sat up and rubbed her arms. "Sorry I for-" "It's okay." Hadyn whispered. "I have a question. What's going to happen tomorrow?" Hadyn was confused; she didn't know what was going to happen. "Well, I was hoping you would come to school and be with me." He said running his hands through her hair. Hadyn smiled and nodded her head. "You have a beautiful smile." Jake said and he kissed her again. "Hadyn... I know it might be rushed but... I love you... I realized it last night." All she could do was smile.
Hadyn sat quietly on her bed chewing at her black nails, replaying everything that happened after school in her head. When Jake pulled her back she felt something she wanted to feel again. Just the thought of the feeling sent chills up her spine. Bridgett had ignored Hadyn for the rest of the day. Finding out her sister was suicidal scared Bridgett. Hadyn loved it, but there was still a chance that Bridgett might rat her out. For once, Bridgett didn't care that she lost a boyfriend. Jake was simply a tool to pull Hadyn's strings. That night, neither Hadyn nor Bridgett came out for dinner. Instead, Hadyn climbed out her window. She knew where she was going. She walked down the dark sidewalk to Main Str. To her right was a place where she had debated whether or not to go to. The words, 'Tatoos and Peircings' lit the window in bright green neon. She opened the door nervously and walked in. "Can i help you?" asked a girl no older then Hadyn was at the desk. Hadyn explained exactly what she wanted. The girl motioned for Hadyn to follow. They walked into a room with black walls and a bed in the middle. A man covered with ink walked in. Hadyn sat on the bed and the man sterilyzed his tools. He postitioned the tongs and put the needle through. Hadyn didn't even flinch. When he was done, she had a silver barbell through her eyebrow. Walking home from the tatoo place, Hadyn couldn’t stop playing with her eyebrow. She reached her house and ran around the side to her window. It was shut and locked. Someone didn’t want her in the house that night. She sighed and walked around to the front to see if by any chance someone forgot to lock the doors, but they were locked as well. Hadyn had no other choice; she had to go to her sister's window and beg her to let her in. She walked around to her sister's window and gave a slight tap. Hadyn smiled as her saw Bridgett's pink curtains opening. When Hadyn looked in the window all she saw was Jake's bare chest behind the glass. He opened the window and pulled her through. "What the hell are you doing in here?" asked Bridgett as she climbed off her bed pulling her shirt down. Hadyn just starred at her. She thought it was over, she thought that things changed; but Hadyn was wrong. Hadyn ran to her room in tears, a million thoughts ran through her head. Jake saw how hurt she was but Bridgett was caressing him. That night all Jake could think about was Hadyn.
The next day school felt really awkward. Every time Hadyn looked over at Jake he was looking back. At lunch more people starred at Hadyn. Maybe it was because of her eyebrow, it also could have been because she had tear stained cheeks. All day she couldn't stop starring at Jake. It's like she was drawn to him. The shrieky bell rang at two thirty and Hadyn was the last one to leave. She pulled up the hood of her Slipknot sweater and the tears wouldn't stop falling from her pale eyes. She wanted Jake for herself; she wanted things to be different in all aspects. Hadyn hated every single spec of her and her life. "Hadyn?" a voice said from behind her. Hadyn slowly turned around only to see Jake standing there. She didn't say a word. She just starred into his eyes. The addictive circles made it hard to look away. He walked closer and Hadyn just froze. "I'm sorry for last night. I saw how hurt you were. I wanted to run after you..." He took her shaky hand. "Why didn’t you then?" Hadyn answered looking at the ground and then back at Jake. "One word... Bridgett." Jake laughed but Hadyn didn't find it funny. She pulled back and walked away, she felt the sting of real pain which was different from the fake pain she longed for when she used her razors. Jake did not give up. He followed her down the sidewalk, screaming her name, hoping she would turn around. "What Jake? Do you want to hurt me even more? You knew I liked you but did you acknowledge that? NO!" she screamed at him. At this point the tears were falling down her cheeks like mad. "I never knew you liked me until last night!" He said hoping she would give in, but only one word came from her mouth, "Bullshit!" Hadyn screamed and she ran home. She ran through the front door and to her room.
Hadyn's screechy alarm interrupted the first decent sleep she had had since the when she found out that the love of her life was dating the girl who lived in the room next to her, who was also known as her sister. After pressing the snooze button about seven times she finally got up. As usual she pretty much ran out of her house avoided her mother who had looked at her in fear since the day Harry had hit Hadyn. Music was even more awkward that day because Jake had actually gone to class and he starred at Hadyn constantly all period. Hadyn spent her lunch alone as usual and before she knew it the day was over. About one fourth of the way home it started to pour rain and Hadyn only had a thin sweater on. She pulled up her hood and picked up her pace. Then she felt a cold splash at her left side. Hadyn looked up and saw her sister's jeep fly by her. "Bridgett, baby, stop and get her." pleaded Jake from inside the jeep. Bridgett stared at him asking herself why he was saying this. She looked back and saw her sister walked arms folded through the raindrops. She rolled her eyes and backed up. Hadyn saw the blue paint of the jeep and she hopped inside. They drove home and ran inside the house. As soon as they got inside Bridgett pushed Jake against the wall and started kissing him. It made Hadyn wanted to grab a knife and stab her eyes, but instead she ran to her room crying. Jake pushed Bridgett away from him and ran after Hadyn. He ran in her room knowing what she was doing. She was sitting on her bed crying hysterically with the razor clenched between her fingers. He ran to her and pulled her arms back making her scream even louder. He started hushing her, which calmed Hadyn down immensely. She didn’t know what to do. Hadyn just sat there memorizing the moment when Jake had his arms around her. Bridgett ran in the room and broke the silence. She started to throw a fit. She ran over to Hadyn and started kicking her and screaming. Jake pulled Bridgett away and 2 words poured out of his mouth that Hadyn wanted to hear. "It's over..."
Not sleeping the entire night before made Hadyn feel like she was PMS-ing. She knew that would be a start to a bad day. When she got up she threw on some black pants and a Nirvana sweater and attempted to re-do her eyeliner. Basically she looked like crap that morning. Hadyn picked up her bag and walked right out of her house not stopping for anything. When she got to school more bad things started to occur. Like, her guitar in music was in the shop so she didn’t get to play. That would have been okay if Jake would have been there, but he probably skipped. At lunch she sat at her usual table, alone. Throughout the rest of the day she zoned out of her classes. In science they had a quiz but Hadyn left it blank. She knew everything that was on it but she didn't feel like writing it. When her teacher picked it up he shook his head and walked back to his desk. When the loud shrieking bell rang at the end of the day, Hadyn walked slowly out of the school. She wandered around her neighborhood for hours until she found her house. She walked up the gravel path kicking one of the broken lawn flamingos that surrounded her house.
Hadyn slid her key into the keyhole of her small house and pushed open the door that got stuck once in a while. She walked through the porch and into the kitchen. She heard the sobs of her older sister and her mother attempting to comfort her. "I loved him, I loved him so much!" cried Bridgett. "Pathetic" Hadyn mumbled to herself as she walked past her mother who didn’t even notice she was home. Hadyn locked herself in her room and dropped on her bed. In an instant she was asleep. She was dreaming about when Bridgett, her mother and Hadyn all went to Disney World when Hadyn was eight. She dreamed of going on all the rides and meeting Mickey Mouse. Then the dream was broken as Hadyn cracked open her eyes. She starred at the clock and it read 7:00. Hadyn dragged herself off her bed and walked to her door. She unlocked it and opened it. She walked out and ran right into her step-dad who was standing fists clenched at her doorway. Then she felt a sharp pain on her cheek. Harry hit her. Hadyn stood there shocked. She started to raise her hand to feel if her cheek was bleeding. Harry pushed her hand away and hit her again. Hadyn just starred at him, wondering what he would do next. Then he pushed her and she fell back into her room and slammed the door. Hadyn felt herself shaking. Not knowing what she was doing, she ran to her drawer and pulled out her black towel and razor. Hadyn was now bawling her eyes out and screaming. She had a tight grip on the razor and sliced her arms over and over again, watching the blood drip down her arm like a crimson waterfall. She continued to cut her wrists wondering when she would feel pain. It felt like she was cutting for hours and she was. Hadyn was crying hysterically as she looked at her clock that read 9:30. She had been at this for one and a half hours and yet she still didn't feel anything. Her body was numb. Still crying, she looked back at her torn up arms thinking to herself how shitty her life was. Hadyn just wanted to end it right then but she decided against it, although the next day she wondered if she had made the wrong choice.
School was a blur to Hadyn the next day. She had a massive headache from the amount of blood she lost the night before. She wore a fishnet top to attempt to cover the scars but the world could still see them. They covered both of her arms past her elbows and it had been the worst she had ever done. When she got home she walked in the door and saw something that wanted to make her go and kill herself. It was Bridgett making out with her weekly special but the weekly special happened to be the guy Hadyn had loved forever. It was Jake. He just stood there as Bridgett did all the work. Hadyn felt a tear roll down her cheek. She couldn't take it no more and she bolted to her room. She slammed the door without locking it and grabbed her razor. Since her arms were all torn up she resorted to her ankles. She slashed her flesh until she saw a ricer of red water drip onto her floor. She wiped the blood away and continued onto her other ankle. She was so concentrated on her ankles that she didn't realize her door open. Jake stood starring through the crack in the door watching what Hadyn was doing. He swallowed hard and closed the door. Hadyn started crying again this time the tears just didn’t stop. She knew her sister was mean but she never knew that Bridgett could hurt her this way. Hadyn felt like her sister tore out her heart ripped it to shreds and put it back in. Hadyn passed out on her bed and she was there for hours. She had nightmares. Nightmares of Bridgett stabbing her but she wouldn't die. Hadyn could feel the pain through her dream. She wanted it to stop but it kept going, on and on. Then finally it stopped and Hadyn stood up her in bed, breathing heavily, thinking to herself what she felt. Something suddenly startled her. She turned quickly to her window and saw Jake tapping on it. Luckily her light was off so he couldn’t see inside. "Next window down beautiful." whispered Hadyn to herself switching her thoughts from Bridgett to the love of her life. She wished that Jake was hers and hers alone. She would never get over him. Hadyn also knew that Bridgett didn’t really like Jake and she was just trying to push Hadyn’s buttons. Besides, Jake wasn’t her type anyways. Hadyn didn't realize her eyes were welling up with tears again. Instead of reaching for her bloody razor she lay back down on her pillow and drifted off into a deep sleep.
Hadyn walked through the darkness too the small spark she went to as a kid. She walked over to the swings and sat down remembering the times when Bridgett and Hadyn loved each other like sisters should. Hadyn remembered the time when their mom finally let them go to the park by themselves. Bridgett didn't let go of Hadyn's hand because she didn't want to lose her. When they were at the park Hadyn fell off the swing and Bridgett carried her home. Thinking of that memory made the tears start to pour from Hadyn's eyes. Back at home Hadyn's mother was crying, thinking that she lost her daughter. Bridgett, sick of hearing her mother wine about her younger sister, walked to her room. On the way she passed Hadyn's room. With a sneaky look on her face, Bridgett crept into Hadyn's room and started rummaging around trying to find something to use against her. Then she found it. A binder that had band logos and clothing tags pasted all over it and had the words 'Keep Out, Hadyn's Personal Shit' in big letters on it. Bridgett opened the binder and flipped through a couple pages until she saw a heart with the word 'Jake' inside it. Bridgett giggled and put the binder back where she found it and crept into her own room. Hadyn was still on the swings sobbing, thinking how much she hated her life. Finally hours later she got off the swings and walked home. She reached for the handle and attempted to push her door open but it was locked. "Great..." Hadyn mumbled to herself as she walked around the side of her house. She went to her window and slid it open. Hadyn climbed through the window and her mother was standing there, arms folded and she had her pink house coat on. "You are in a load of trouble Hadyn!" said her mother as Hadyn left her room and headed for the bathroom. "You don't walk away from me like that! Hey I'm talking to you. Why don't you ever listen to me?" nagged her mother and she followed her daughter to the bathroom. Hadyn slammed the door and locked it. Her mother was still screaming from the other side of the door. Hadyn sat on the counter waiting for her mother to give up and go to bed. Finally after about an hour of trying to get her to unlock the door, Hadyn's mother went to bed. Hadyn was unlocked the door and went to her own little sanctuary. She went to her backpack and took her binder out. She plopped down on her bed and wrote the words that went through her head. Hadyn was cherishing the silence that she heard. The only time today she heard nothing but her own breathing and the hymn of her computer. That is until she heard the sounds of raunchiness in the next room. It was her sister and her weekly special. Bridgett couldn't go more then a few days without having a guy get on top of her. Hadyn changed into her pajamas and climbed into bed. Through the cheep walls she could hear he sister moaning, which almost made Hadyn sick. Every time she heard this she wondered why her parents had to have the only bedroom upstairs. The happiest day of Hadyn's life (other then the day she dies) would be when her mother catches Bridgett. Like that would ever happen though.
Hadyn rolled her eyes and continued the long journey to her room, where she spent the countless hours listening to music and talking to her friends that only existed online. "Reject!" said Bridgett pushing past Hadyn, "Slut!" Hadyn said back hoping that Bridgett didn't hear what she said. Luckily she didn't. Hadyn walked in the house and untied her boots. After she threw them in her closet she walked to her room. Just as she was about to slam her door her mother started the daily argument. "Hadyn what the hell do you think you are doing leaving the house before saying good-bye! I was worried sick that you had been kidnapped and raped!" Sometimes Hadyn wondered if her mother was ever going to realize that she didn't have a brain at all. Then Bridgett just had to add in her part of the argument. "You will never have to worry about that Mom, Hadyn's too ugly to be raped. I mean who would want her!" Hadyn had taken all she could take of her sister. "Bridgett why don't you go fuck your weekly special." said Hadyn trying really hard not to laugh. That was Bridgett's problem. She ran through guys like water and every week there would be a new guy in her room supplying her with just what she needed to uphold her sluty reputation. After that Bridgett started screaming and finally Hadyn just closed her door, locked it and turned her music up so loud it made the house shake. As she signed on Vampire Freaks she checked if her online friends were in their usual chat room. Hadyn talked to them for a few hours until the sound of her mother's voice interrupted her. Hadyn walked out of her room and into the kitchen. Her so called family was already sitting at the table serving themselves huge plates of spaghetti. "Look Little Miss Emo girl has decided to grace us with her presence." said Bridgett shoving a huge fork full of spaghetti into her big ass mouth. Hadyn looked at her with one eyebrow raised and sat down across from her. Half way through dinner Hadyn hardly touched her spaghetti and was twirling it with her fork. "Hadyn eat!" said her step dad giving her a dirty look. "I'm not hungry." "Hadyn you have to eat something." said her Mother helping her self to a second plate. Her entire family were pigs. "Mom, Harry I have something to tell you." Hadyn looked up at Bridgett knowing exactly what she was going to say. "Last night I heard Hadyn in the bathroom throwing up." Hadyn got up from the table and walked to her room. There she grabbed a sweater and walked to the front door. She put her shoes on and left. Hadyn heard Harry yelling out the door but she didn't turn around.
