Robbie looked at me nervously. He was thinking the same thing I was thinking. "You are pregnant," said the female doctor. I felt like I was going to pass out. Robbie picked me up and hugged me. I had known he had always wanted a kid. I was so happy as well. I knew I was young but I was ready. "Wait," Janine said with a strange look in her eye. "There is a chance Robbie isn’t the father!" Then I realized that Janine was right. It could have been one of Adam’s friends or Adam himself. Robbie went from happy to scared, the Anna piped up. "Can you do a DNA test?" "We could, It will take about 2 hours to get it processed though." The female doctor answered. Robbie nodded his head and the doctor took a blood sample from Robbie. Anna and Janine had gone out for something to eat and to go home and check on Keera. Robbie just sat with me on the hospital bed and then I asked him a question I knew would be hard to do. "Robbie, What happens if you aren’t the father?" He looked away for a second and looked back at me and smiled. "I really hope it is mine, but if it isn’t then I will still love the baby as my own child. Hilary I love you and anything that comes from you I will love, I really hope that it is mine though. I just don’t know how I am going to tell my parents." I rested my head on his shoulder. I also wanted a child. I always had wanted one but now that there is a chance of it not being Robbie’s, I was afraid. I must have dosed off because when I woke up the doctor was in the room. "Well I have good news, the baby is 100% Rob’s!" she said with a huge smile across her face. I jumped up and flung my arms around Robbie. "I knew everything was going to be okay." Robbie whispered to me. Janine and Anna were waiting in the waiting room. We told them the news and they drove us home. Robbie and I decided to tell his parents right away. We walked hand in hand next door. "Maybe I should tell them alone. It might be better that way. You won’t have to experience my dad in rage." Robbie explained. He was scared and I could tell. "If you really want to do that then I understand." I said just staring at him. He nodded his head and I walked back to our house. I walked up to my room and got my pajamas on. I looked at my stomach and whispered to myself. "Don’t worry Hilary. Everything is going to be okay. Robbie said so himself." "Yep everything will be okay." Robbie exclaimed from behind me. He walked up and put his arms around me. "What happened with your parents?" I asked quietly. "Shh…" Robbie whispered as he picked me up and put me in bed. That’s when I noticed his black eye. "Oh my god Robbie what happened!" I said as I flew out of bed. He just looked away and started to cry. "Oh my god, Robbie, please tell me what happened," I asked pleadingly. "He hit me… I told him and he hit me." He said almost bursting into tears. I just put my arms around him and held him as he sobbed. Then we heard a knock at the door. I walked over and opened it. It was Robbie’s mother. She was also crying. "Robbie, please listen to me." His mother asked as he walked over to her. All of a sudden I heard sirens. We ran to the window and saw squad cars surround Robbie’s parents’ house. "You called the police?" asked Robbie. I just stared at them. His mother nodded and then I saw bruises on her face. Then I realized that Robbie’s father was abusive towards them. "Where’s Alexia?" I asked. "She’s downstairs with Anna." answered Robbie’s mother. "So I hear you are a month pregnant!" She said with a smile across her face. She lent over and hugged me. I felt like she was my mother. Robbie smiled a fake smile. The next couple of hours were long ones.
