Grey?

Feeling: amused
"If my life had a color....it would be grey. Like the sky on a winters eve." ....these are the words he wrote to himself, on that day in class when his only assignment was to asses his life. Its strange when a mere eighth grade student is already looking for the spark of color in an emotional void. He had money, friends, a social life (where it counted), but could never find the color. You know what the color is, dont you? Its probably different for everyone, i'm sure, yet there is a spark within us all that emenates light and a feeling of being....home. But back to our hero. He would wake up in the morning, and in a glimpse be laying down to sleep. Nothing happening, everything one big blur. A blur of grey. They didnt seem to notice that his emotions counted for something...but nobody did. Or they didnt care, either way.....they ignored him. He wasnt a sideliner in the shadows just yet. some light still flickered into his world, but not enough to illuminate the scars on his heart. And this was the way the story progressed. Never really going anywhere but always taking it a step further, an enigmatic pool of grey. Nobody knew that he slipped away. That, or they didnt care. Either way.... -Jack B Nimble.
