this is simply breathtaking!

its been a while since i've posted anything. i've been busy with school and my upcoming exams. right now i should be studying but, it's official... yesterday morning, i woke up to a cold winter day. the streets were white, not from the fallen snow but from being frozen. you couldn't tell it was cold from looking out yet, still, when i stepped outside every breath i took was like taking in small ice particles into my lungs. every time i blinked, my eyelids fuzed together, and for each of those milliseconds, i was doubtful they would open again. every minute i waited for the bus, i was afraid my tears would freeze and my heart would shatter; however, that's another story... if outside of my body wasn't cold, it was sure chilly enough for me to feel the cold in my bones. every movement i made felt like i was forcing my joints against an icy mantle. the bone-chilling weather was making me freeze from inside and i was starting to grasp the idea that i was experiencing the ice age. forget global warming, this is subzero northern climate at its best and i was out, it was remarkably early and, under this arctic wonderland, i could see the city waking up right in front of me. the coffee shops opening and the breakfasts being prepared. the yawning of tired citizens, the hasting of late commoners, and even the sleeping bystanders; i was just realizing that nothing was any different in people's routines than last summer with the exception of the big coats, scarves and gloves people wore to shelter themselves from the cold front. this was a normalcy here! i came back home a couple hours later and i still felt the cold in my bones whilst laying under the many covers of my bed; i said to myself: "gosh! i love this city!" ...i only found out later i had walked into minus 20 degrees weather unprepared. i didn't have a hat nor gloves, the many layers of clothing had saved me! today, i woke up to a white horizon and the billion snow flakes in sight where like bats out of hell and i thought....
