friday

yesterday was almost 70, today it snowed. it was the worst weather i have seen in a loong time. i went to rowan today with my dad and alyssa, NO SCHOOL :) i thought seeing it again would help me to decide if i would go there or to rider, but it didn't really. we found out that admissions still hadn't made a decision whether i got in or not, which could end up being my deciding factor because i am impatient. also, i got my invitation to the interview next friday for rider's community scholars program. it's a program for volunteering around that community. you get paid every two weeks, and a $1000 scholarship which i could always use. it will be good for me because i will meet a group of people before i get there, so i'll already know people. also, it will keep me busy during the week rather then me wasting my time, so i'll learn to manage my time. and obviously, it will help the community and people in it which is what i really would like to do. so that's also part of my deciding factor. plus it's five minutes from sean's school and you can have a car. YAY! i started to read a book the other night, i forget what it's called. it's about a Dutch Jewish family during WWII, so they have to go into hiding. my aunt gave it to my sister and i a few years ago and i never read it. i'm going to try and stop wasting my life doing worthless things and do things that are more productive or helpful to me. so i have a stack of books by my bed :) i applied to check beach badges in ortley yesterday. they aren't checking applications until may though, but maybe my early action will be a good thing. i also got blood taken yesterday and i was scared it was the lady who has to poke you with the needle three times until she gets the right vein, but it wasn't thank god. i didn't even know it went in and she talked to me about her cats which was cute and a good distraction. last time, i had a guy with a trillion tattoos take my blood. they're taking down the planetarium at OCC :( my science class is helping raise money to fund for it. it's ironic how the school has supposebly $72mil and won't use about only $1.2mil to update it and keep it open. it's sad how our town takes advantage of such amazing things we have right here, and we only take notice when the town realizes we don't show much interest. our society today is a disappointment.
