saturday

i am dead tired, but i feel this topic is necessary. i cannot stand when people say we shouldn't be speaking spanish, "because this is AMERICA!" but i thought America was about diversity and freedom? so why the fuck are we being assholes and rejecting other cultures. we don't have a specific culture, and that is what makes us so great. we are supposed to be a welcoming country to every type of person. but i realize part of the hesitancy to the spanish language is because of the mexicans who cross our border and live/work here illegally. i completely disagree with that, and believe we should take more action in terms of quantity AND quality because what we are doing is obviously not working. but it bothers the shit out of me that we really aren't accepting of other cultures and we think we're hot shit. more than half of us are "obese" and can't take care of ourselves and the majority of us are only in it for the money. and by saying "it" i mean life and the unsatisfaction we have toward our own even though we made our own choices to get where we end up in the end. another thing we are lacking is honesty. when was the last time you knew someone who told the ENTIRE truth, and said it without asking. we obviously do things that require people to question us, and when they do we like to make ourselves look like the better person and turn whatever the situation is around to the other person. honesty is taught to get you nowhere, and i think that is terrible. that is not how a society's reuptation should be, that is not how we should be taught. okay i'm done ranting about my unsatisfactions with my country, which i do love. i was ditched tonight, and i'm not sure i've ever been ditched. i'm usually the ditcher rather than the ditchee, minus a few times. but i guess that was a sign it wasn't worth it. AND i saw my pretty boy driving down rt 166 today. how fucking beautiful ohmygod ♥
