Listening to: How I Go - Yellowcard
Feeling: headachy
I have a killer headache right now, so if I start rambling that's why. It's kind of weird; I don't usually get headaches. I think it's because I've been sitting in the (extremely loud) laundry room with Kimberly for the last two hours, trying to finish my music history paper. It's about the Enigma Variations by Edward Elgar, and I just finished writing about the sixth variation, so I'm a little over half done. I'll finish it tomorrow after work. I need to remember to bring $7 to Crossroads tomorrow for the Twins game on April 29. We've started talking about Native American cinema in my American Indian Studies class. It's really interesting to see how the portrayal of American Indians in movies has changed over the last century, and also how it hasn't. We get to pick the topic of our last paper in that class, and I think I want to do a film analysis on a movie like "The New World" or "Powwow Highway" or something like that. We had a guest lecturer in Victims today named Baumgartner, I think. He used to teach at MSU, but then he left to do full-time law enforcement, and now he's thinking of coming back because Bailey resigned. I liked him, he was knowledgeable and interesting and he asked for the class' opinions on specific laws and cases. I bought a package of printer paper this morning, to replenish my supply since I've been using so much to print out my sitD from four years ago. I'm going to three-hole punch it and put it all in a binder. A lot of paper, ink, time, and money, but the finished result will be worth it. Eventually that will probably happen with this diary as well. It's hard to think of where I'll be four years from now ... My sweet boyfriend has sent me two poems he found somewhere in honor of our swiftly approaching anniversary! It's on Thursday. I originally didn't want to bring it up for several reasons, but I guess mostly I didn't want to be disappointed again. And also we've broken up twice so it's not like we've been dating the whole time, but in all fairness, we will have been dating on April 10th of every year from 2005-2008. So four April 10ths in a row, even if we missed a few months in between them. Maybe the third time's the charm. Hopefully! Now soon off to Campus Crusade (CRU) with Kimberly and Carissa. I don't know if I'll stay for the whole thing though; Kimberly and Jenny are going to a movie and I might even just come back to my room because of this damn headache.
