I went to the International Festival today at Mankato East with Emily. It was fun. We watched some cultural entertainment, like the Bollywood dancers from India, the lion dance from China, Irish dancing, Nepalese songs, etc. There was a lot of foods to try. I ended up having a combo plate from the Lebanon booth, and coffee with pastries from the Russia booth. Not bad. It was inconveniently located right next to the Malaysian food though, which is where Intervarsity's poster boy was making root beer floats. And I don't mean Daniel. For the most part Matt and I ignored each other though, so that went fine. We watched the flag parade at the beginning of the fair. Speaking of which, the boy carrying the Macedonian flag was none other than the guy with the cute accent and intense eyes that served me lunch on Friday. Macedonia, Russia, at least I was in Eastern Europe. Close guess. Emily and I were discussing all the cute international students who work the afternoon shift of the various CSU food service operations. We browsed the booths in the gym, but neither of us bought anything because we only had money to buy food. All in all, though, it was a fun outing. After International Festival, I was going to go to H2O and cut out early to see the chamber concert with Dr. Rodgers and his wife, but I was convinced with a little prodding by Brent and Forrest to stay after to have deep discussion, so I did. Brent even drove me back to the dorm to get my own Bible before Kimberly and Forrest's group let out.

That international festival sounds like so much fun! I think we have one at my school but I haven't gone to it. I'm half-Nepali, so I was excited to read you heard Nepalese music haha. I also love Irish step dancing; I own the Riverdance soundtrack and listen to it frequently-- if that's wrong, I don't wanna be right haha. Also, I think you should hang out with the Macedonian boy. If there is one thing in life I want it's a foreign boy.
haha thank you. dry/edgy, huh? cool.
