overkill

Going over to Mankato today was kindof like torture. Call it overkill. I just want to be home. It could be worse . . . last year I had to go back to St. Olaf until Memorial Day and I dreaded it every single time. It rained, which was a little sucky, but I'm glad the weather waited until today. Scrapbook shopping was fun; I've already got ideas for two pages for the fair. Today I also renewed my driver's permit (for the last time!) and switched from my brick to the POS flip phone. I'm trying to give it a chance, but it was a hateful thing last time. Hopefully when we sent it in to get fixed, Alltel gave it a personality transplant. I ache all over from rehearsal. The two soloists were with us today, and I think the concert tomorrow is going to be amazing. I'm really looking forward to the Brahms double concerto, even though it's the last thing on the program, so by the time we play it everyone will be burned out. Maybe we'll ride the adrenaline rush right through it. Just one more day . . . then it will actually be a break for me.
